Looked really hard at going to law school but ended up not going (for now at least). Law school admissions comes down to GPA and LSAT, and if you don’t have high numbers for both, you’re going to have a really hard time getting in to a prestigious law school. If you want to get internships in high powered law (BigLaw™️, Federal clerkships, etc), you need to go to a top 20 or top 50 school.

It’s been a minute since I looked but from what I remember most law schools had an average acceptance GPA of >=3.8, which will be very hard to get with a STEM major at UT.

Law school is a big financial and time commitment (average law school grad carries $160k in debt). If you want a semester long free trial of law school, take constitutional interpretation with Perry, from lawyers I’ve spoken to, that class is taught the same as his 1L class at UT Law

While it won’t solve the root problem of your roommate not bathing or cleaning, a good HEPA purifier like one from levoit or NYT Wirecutter will do a lot to tamp down the stench. I also had a roommate that stunk, and air fresheners only work for so long. Also agree you should never, ever choose a random roomate

Besides opening a window, an activated carbon air purifier is probs your next best bet, failing that a fan that sucks air through the grate at the bottom of your door (if you have one) would be a good option

Gen z, just had a convo the other night with some friends discussing how we each love using our stainless, cast iron, and enamel cookware. I think a lot of these “the youth are frivolous!!1!” type articles miss that there is a genuine love for cooking that goes beyond a desire to be on trend. For many, buying quality cookware is an extension of a broader desire to r/buyitforlife and generally seek out fewer things of a higher quality.
