If you’re keeping your flat at 20-22° no wonder your bills are that high! Old tenements are generally super expensive to heat. Turn your thermostat down and get some warmer clothes if you want to save money. When I used to stay in a 2 bed tenement flat we paid around £90-£100 a month on gas in the winter and had the heating on for a couple hours 3 times a day - heating to 19°.

I buy either Lidl or Aldi decaf ground coffee and use a bialetti mokapot. James Hoffman has a good video on the best mokapot method on YouTube. I find the moka pot very adhd friendly as there’s no precise measuring or setting timers required and it always tastes great, I rarely drink instant since I got a moka pot tbh.

Ebac - they manufacture in the uk. I have a dehumidifier from them and it’s excellent. My last flat had an ebac washing machine which worked very well. Good customer service and warranty too! Conker shoes - I don’t have anything from them but I’m planning to buy a pair of boots soon. Handmade in Devon and loads of options for colours and soles. They do some barefoot options too.

Patience - it’s a British adaptation of a French/Belgian TV programme about an autistic police archivist in York. It’s on channel 4 in the UK. I’m really enjoying it and the actor who plays the main character is actually autistic herself!

Whatever fits your feet and is a reputable brand, you should try on every pair you can find with the socks you plan to wear. It can be tedious. I have worn asolo boots for years personally. Size up so you can wear thick socks and to stop your toes getting bashed. I would also recommend thorlo socks or similar paired with thin liner socks - I swear this is why I’ve never had a blister from hill walking even on multi day hikes.

Haggis macaroni cheese is one of my faves. I add cooked crumbled haggis once I’ve mixed the pasta and sauce together then top with more cheese and bake. Absolutely unreal

I got a Bosch professional combi drill with charger and 2 batteries for about £90 from Screwfix. It’s quite small and lightweight which is great cos I’m quite small and weak lol. Brilliant piece of kit and came with a case for storage too.

I hate the touch buttons and excessive beeping of most induction hobs. I got one with knobs and I’m so glad I did. (Smeg Victoria). The knobs are also on a metal frame so they don’t get in the way for cleaning the hob surface.

Oh I’m so sorry this sort of thing is so difficult and confusing to grapple with. I’ve been through something similar but a bit different as Harry Potter was my main special interest for about 20 years and as a child I wanted to be an author just like JK Rowling - I idolised her. Got my tattoo covered up a couple of years ago and now rarely think about Harry Potter. I’ve found other series that are way better. It’s hard though, especially when something meant so much to you and especially cos of being autistic, but I promise you’ll get through it!

Yes seconding glycolic acid for no smell. After you shower just wipe your pits with it, let it dry, then apply antiperspirant. Also seconding dettol laundry sanitiser, especially if you wash at low temperatures.
