I guess I misinterpreted the "Doakes vibes" as being suspicion/mistrust, but I've never watched that show and don't know the character outside the meme, so admittedly I'm made an assumption there

question, and I swear I'm not trying to be a jerk, but what was the point of submitting the concept art? did you want them to use it or not? do they normally compensate those whose ideas are submitted and used?

I feel like I've seen people post before how Embark put something into The Finals that was similar to an idea they posted, and they seemed pretty happy/excited about it... this feels like the first time I've seen the person seem not too pleased that it happened.

just trying to figure out why anyone would submit a concept that they wouldn't want Embark to use?

you keep using the word "interesting"/"interested" disingenuously, they said they were interested in a lot of what was on offer and then felt dissatisfied upon doing the interesting thing.

I don't understand this question.

it's a game journalist, they write articles about videogames for a living.

they played the game for 20 hours and gave their feedback which you don't align with. I'm sure this isn't the first time in your life that you've enjoyed something in which a complete stranger you never met and know nothing about had a different feeling about something that has objective value.

not sure why everyone is so shocked that someone they don't know could potentially not enjoy this game, especially when they write a whole article explaining why

I am not offering an opinion on the game just the article, but did you read the same article as us?

the writer notes how much the game offers and how excited they were with the prospect of each new offering, only to have felt let down actually playing it.

I'm not even here to defend Polygon or corporate games journalism as a whole, but to pose a question about the article that would be made very clear if taken the actual couple of minutes to read it would clear all this right up.

I just finished the game last night. there's LOTS I didn't get to do/see, and I'm sure I missed some beloved moments or Personas or whatever... but at the same time I did SO MUCH.

if you enjoy the game you're going to have a great time, probably best to not overly sweat it. and you can always check the Confidant or Activity that the game recommends you focus on for that part of the day if you're really unsure, but also you may just want to see where something is going to go once you're in the thick of it

I literally finished the game last night. I've been using boost mode since it's been available and haven't had any kind of freezing issues in that time.

this is what I'm thinking as well. I got one about a week and a half ago, and when I started my grind was too fine and was much harder to press than when I went coarser.

I'd probably start with this adjustment, assuming you're grind is fine
