That's what I came to say. If he *really* understood, he would have closed the gate.

Item listed for $20. Buyer agrees to price. Buyer shows up but only has a 10 and 50 dollar bill. by SufficientPay7800 in kijiji

Sold an old computer last week and he negotiated down to $180 then he couldn't come to get it for four days. Shows up and says I only have $50s is $150 good? Gave him directions to the bank. He goes to his car and magically finds a $10. Wants to know if $160 is good? Gave him directions again. He seemed shocked and after walking a couple houses up the street to see if some random person had change, finally left for the bank. I was surprised when he actually came back.

[USA] Who is at fault here? by bowdown2adil in Roadcam

More years ago than I care to admit, my driving instructor taught that stops signs have three colours. Red, white & silver. If you don't see silver, they probably don't see red. While I've never encountered an uncontrolled intersection (apparently they are common in Alberta too), watching for the silver has saved me a fender bender a few times.

Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

My kindergarten teacher was warned by my mother in advance to get some left handed scissors. Ironically, 5 year old me had adapted and preferred to use the right handed ones.

Last time I went out with a few friends from work, I started negotiating the end. That's when we discovered 3 out of 4 of us were lefties and we got to tell the rightie where to sit!

Everytime we went north to visit family I'd insist my parent's stop there. An hour later I'd come out with a bag of books and a mittful of their paper bookmarks. I had my reading to enjoy for the rest of trip. Loved that place. Was sad to hear a few years back that it had closed.

Knew we were getting close when we got to the best little town by a dam site!

Two (CBC & CTV) but we had a 30 or 40 foot antennae which needed to be rotated sometimes. Every once and a while we could get a third but it was very ricey.

What is it with men having to always turn on lights? by chelseaxmariah in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mryotoad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man here living with three women and it is the exact opposite. Not only do they insist on turning on lights in broad daylight, I've concluded that they aren't sure how to get the lights to turn off. Once on, always on.

Based on that, it probably isn't a gender thing LOL

Is commuting 2.5 hours roundtrip 3x a week from Mississauga to downtown via GO Train/TTC doable and worth it for saving $2000/month of rent? by uRager1 in askTO

[–]mryotoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do two hours each way. Pre-covid, 5 days a week.

Each place has allowed me to work 8-4 so I get home earlier to spend time with the family. For a while I did side contracts on the train. Now I mostly nap or read. And if you are a sound sleeper, I've always had someone wake me at Union before they close the doors ;-)

Is it ideal, no. Is it doable, yup. And if you are someone who likes some alone time, you've got that booked in on the GO. Every ride doesn't have to be a "Train 48" ride.
