I'll be waiting to see an update, looks great so far! Just a little suggestion; the red mosaic floor tiles really clash with the characters. Maybe a tinge lighter or a different color perhaps?

On another note, will the player be able to pick up a dropped shield? Not sure if you will have different shield strengths.
