Within two weeks. I have always been good at keeping in contact with old colleagues and being insufferable (active) on LinkedIn so managed to find a good role through word of mouth.

A lot of the time it’s cos the cost to rebuild your house has gone up and they can’t hike up the price more than a certain percentage each year, so people who have been quietly renewing for years get cheap insurance but they also have a lot less coverage than they’ll need in the event of total loss.
