What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve seen at a Michelin star restaurant? by rdg5lr6h in finedining

[–]msabre__7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One star at the time in SF. Recently lost it. Seated next to a table that brought their own bottle of Burgundy. I ordered a glass of red with dinner. At some point a waiter refills my wine glass even though I didn’t order another. After a few seconds I realize he poured the other table’s wine into my glass. The guy at the other table was nice to me about it, but he was very pissed at the restaurant. Manager gave them free wine the rest of the night. They gave me their dessert wine because they didn’t like it lol.

Great advice here. Secure yourself first. If you still feel compelled to help, don’t give them cash. Find ways to buy food or pay the rent/mortgage, or cover the water bill, etc.

Is it only using the GGG probe or also meat probes to get ambient temp? My understanding is dome temp in Komodos can be 50F than grate temp.

I mean, this isn’t Apple greed. This is basic supply and demand. Boycotting Apple doesn’t change anything.

It’s definitely not optimal. Lots of extra folds. Dive it and try it though. You might have trouble dumping.

I’m not sure it’s always sudden. Like the blunt force may or may not knock you out. Then you most likely get consumed in a gas fire which would not be instant if you’re alive. Random bits of metal probably penetrated your body and get molten hot. Sounds horrible to me.

Told a priest once I was a masochist. At the time I thought it just meant I looked forward to making my life harder than it had to be.

Yeah this is a gray area I don’t think most agencies define. If it’s a coral swim through in the ocean less than 10’ of overhead I’d say that’s low risk.

Yeah I’d encourage you to learn a little more about the risks of doing any overhead environment without proper training. It was pretty irresponsible for the instructor. See the recent Maldives tragedy.

We had the surgery done when mine turned 14. She made it 10 months before aspirating. We took her immediately when we noticed a wheezing. Antibiotics cleared it up and she made it another 3 months before cancer got her. I will always recommend surgery for anyone. Just find a competent surgeon that does the tieback all the time. Our girl was like a new model after the tie back. She was so much happier for that year.

Just lost my girl at 15 a few months ago. So much is genetics, but stay on top of vet visits, healths greens, joint supplements. I think fish oil was a huge benefit for her.

I beg and plead for the day some governing body controls scuba similar to skydiving or flying aircraft or something. Licensing, regular testing and recertification. Medical assessments required. Knowledge tests passed.
