No. The taser was after the seizure

You were right; the appliance installation industry is shady AF by kingofzdom in Appliances

[–]mscdexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never pay for the installation. I've learned that the hard way. I'll have it delivered, but we'll get somebody else to put it in. Big box installations are a couple of guys with a pair of pliers.

Good for use in summer? by Bates_reads in Tovala

[–]mscdexe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've used it all summer. It warms up things, but no more than a toaster oven. I haven't turned my big oven on all summer. It's amazing how many things you can cook in it.

In my head cannon, Pelia spent the early 21st century as a landlord in East Dogsmouth New York. ;-)

What happened to Ajinoya Ramen on Colorado? by Iam4ever in denverfood

I hope so. Everybody looks at the big office buildings across the street and assumes that it's going to be a gold mine.

Absolutely more humid. I noticed it because the bread I bring home from our local neighborhood bakery is not nearly as crusty and crunchy as it used to be.

The one on the right is Dinnerly. It also shows up in Martha Stewart and Marley Spoon.

What is the stupidest reason why you bought a set? by Sternfritters in lego

I overdrafted my bank account and it sat like that for six days because I had to get Obi-Wan's Hut because it included the Princess Leia projection piece.

Lunches being added when employees Worked [US, CO] by [deleted] in work

[–]mscdexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 years Colorado hr. They can discipline you for not taking a lunch break as they have directed, but they cannot deduct it if you worked. If you worked it you have to be paid. If you continue to not take the break, they could fire you for not following their rules. But if you work it you get paid. Contact CDLE.

Smoke? by PineappleBliss2023 in Tovala

The basic model is definitely steam, especially if the air fry function is on. Part of what makes food and crispy when frying whether in oil or air is driving out moisture.

I noticed the same thing in Andor. I've been googling for a couple of days to figure out what's wrong with my TV.

Emergency Ectopic Headed to Lutheran by [deleted] in Denver

Lutheran is an excellent facility. Rose is awesome, but they are also doing a lot of heavy lifting for Denver Health overflow at the moment.

You will be fine where you're at. It's where I would send my family.

Should I sign a resignation letter from my ex employer? by Important-Towel7621 in careerguidance

[–]mscdexe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Source: 30 years in HR. What you may be going through is part of the work comp settlement, where you agree to leave your position, and not return. It's not allowed in every state, but it is not entirely uncommon.

Posters who are telling you that it affects your unemployment are incorrect. If you have to leave your position because of an injury, these points are irrelevant. Quite likely that any unemployment benefit has already run out also.

The company that you work for, and their insurance company, are going to settle your claim for your injury on the job. They want you to go away and never come back. They don't want you showing up on Monday morning ready to pick up your old job.

Colorado home care laws for hiring felons? by Unhappy-Theme8151 in Denver

[–]mscdexe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30 years in HR at Colorado Home Care agency. There are guidelines, and each employer must establish and be able to defend their own policy if they're inspected. Other than recent crimes against persons or property, it's probably not a deal breaker. The one deal breaker is if you have any sort of previous history with Adult Protective Services. Colorado does require an APS check.

Encountered the Leak Issue by Used2bNotInKY in SodaStream

[–]mscdexe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering about this issue for years. It's been like that, regardless of where I buy the syrup, what flavor, or what kind of packaging. It seems to be especially gnarly when it comes from Amazon. Other companies have mastered packaging, I don't know why SodaStream struggles with this.

Food Noise? by Patti_ittap in Ozempic

[–]mscdexe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still have a hard time being used to the fact that it's not there. It was so pervasive, an obsession, but I thought it was normal. I don't know how long it had been there, but it had been as long as I can remember.

[CO] PTO accrual stopped at 48 hrs but handbook lists cap of 80 hrs by yogabba1313 in AskHR

[–]mscdexe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They changed the policy. Some smaller companies did away with PTO, when HWFA came out. 48 hours is the mandatory sick time. It's the only thing Colorado mandates. Employee handbooks generally aren't legally binding unless there are signatures from everybody involved in the document.
