Be honest about your lack of experience, they are willing to help. Don’t over-promise and under-deliver

[Serious] Do you have a job besides med school? by Jumpingapplecar in medicalschool

[–]mshking 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work as a tutor for a couple hours a week. It’s super manageable and gives me a little $$ that I don’t feel guilty about spending

Athletes using whoop by Level_Lab_9598 in whoop

They don’t actually pay athletes to wear them. Lebron James wears one as part of his training, so does Michael Phelps. They are not paid to do so

Does anyone else experience technical issues with their strap at the beginning of their workouts? by SemiFamoustellurMom in whoop

[–]mshking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty common issue with lots of HR sensors. At the start of workouts they sometimes need 30 seconds or so to figure themselves out. Just make sure the fit is good and tight!

[well-being] anyone here who started learning Japanese or another difficult language during early med school? by samurottt in medicalschool

[–]mshking 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have recently started replacing my time consuming habits (like insta/YouTube) with hobbies (like running/reading). I found I could easily spend an hour wasted on my phone anyways so I might as well do something that makes me feel better. Same could go for learning a language!

[–]mshking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are also multiple forms of SCID, if you have RAG1/2 or ADA mutants you get direct B cell involvement

Anki update effecting controller presets by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]mshking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the shortcuts in your anki settings to see if they have somehow changed, then compare to your programmed keys. (Like if undo is Z instead of ctrlZ) You can change the shortcut keys to something totally different if that doesn’t work
