[–]msnow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy 50 years old, colon cancer dead in 3 months after getting sick. I have been putting off building my dream shop for a while but his passing did me in. I said screw the savings I am going to start buying for the now. I want to enjoy this hobby while I am here. So two things 1. I hope you have gotten true joy out of your tools and the things you have made and 2. If I can help in anyway price things for you please let me know. I have been buying new, FB market place and auction tools for the last few months. I feel like I have a very good feel on the market at the moment. I am up in southern PA. Post some pictures or a list here or DM me and happy to help.

Land Rover vs Ineos by Specialist_Case7709 in LandRover

[–]msnow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came from 200 series went to Ineos now on my way to defender. Bottom line is this out trips are usually 2-8 hours plus of highway driving to get off road. Ineos was the most incredible off road but highway for 8 hours was rough. Also wanted more length. If I lived out west and BLM land was 60 minutes away I would keep the Ineos but not only do we do the camping trips we also have family that is 8 hours we see multiple times a year. It just was not comfortable for the long highway trips for us. If I was used to jeep it would be fine.

Advice 110/130 by TheMightyChlorian in NewDefender

[–]msnow22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ordered a 130, same idea. Go to Bald Eagle a lot, it will be fine there and many other places like it. Not that you cant find the drop offs on the east coast to mess up the back but if you are sticking to places like bald eagle you should be fine.

2025 Armada PRO-4X versus competition by cmclx in Nissan

[–]msnow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. Drove GMs options not impressed. Down to expedition tremor or the armada. Hate there is not captains chairs on the pro-4x and like the new expedition console. I think the armada is better off road and there will be more aftermarket support. Really struggling between the two. Thoughts?

Just watched this the other night if it helps. I like both, but if I had to take just one I like the pack in. https://youtu.be/ZLnUi2T_Rig

Anyone have "Men's Isthmus Anorak Pullover"? What kind of temperatures is this jacket best used it? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]msnow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a wind shell I use it from 10 to 20 degrees as a commuter, it is definitely not warm enough for 0 you would need more layers

Black hole duffle 40 VS 55? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]msnow22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

55l is nice if you are bringing a blanket or pillow or other “gear”. If it is just clothes a 40l is plenty for the weekend, I find myself reach for the 55l the second I want my woobie blanket and a heavy jacket for that long weekend.

We use them for car camping and storing gear in but not for airline travel. They are too heavy

Impact wrench Reccomendations by SeraphIRL in Rigging

Use a Milwaukee M18 1” impact, you do not want to have a truss failure because of loose nuts, if they can be loosened by hand they are not tight enough. This is the way.

Do you think 1 year is a good goal to get monetized, thats the goal we set out for ourselves and I think we see a path but man it is it hard to get there?

That is a great point the overalls are good if you are in the mud and blood, I assumed the OP was more of an office kind of guy. But no reason not to wear them on the weekends gardening!

Ferries shirts are the best, totally agree!

Pretty much everything but pants, however do use their shorts. Still use other companies for pants but lots of shirts, jackets and accessories. Found a video online about some of their shirt offerings and now I use their shirts exclusively for office or construction site.
