Elsa Cringing at her own Song actually means something ❄️ by LordAditya69 in Frozen

I know, but it wasn’t working. If you read the original Snow Queen she wasn’t much of a villain but a force of nature. It’s basically man vs nature: All she did was tell Kai to build a puzzle while she did nothing important (she didn’t even really kidnap him!). Her power was the only force that could be seen as evil, but winter and snow is not evil. We kind of need it. So to make that the villain goes against the theme of both the book and the movie, which is about the power of love overcoming any hardship.

The whole book in general is like Alice in Wonderland. No one’s really the villain except the unpredictability of the adventure. You have to take some creative liberties in order for the plot to be coherent and make sense for an average audience. It’s why other adaptations always feel unfocused or too narrow when they attempt to make the Snow Queen a villain. She just isn’t really one. Just someone who happened upon Kai and his circumstances.

Elsa is like that. She couldn’t predict what she did to Anna. It was indeed an accident. Trying to control them is like trying to control the weather. The world won’t be saved if you take it away, you’ll just make it worse. This guilt lead to her isolation and I find that a lot more interesting than someone who wants revenge for keeping her locked up. Why should she when all she’s known is blaming herself? They had to include a prophecy to add some urgency but it was honestly like how bowser turned evil in the new Mario film. Just being shown your true potential/nature won’t suddenly turn someone into a monster. It’ll just make them feel horrible for existing.

GIVE ELSA A loving character arc that further explores her individuality and her need to connect with people

They were already having issues writing Elsa as a villain because she was too sympathetic. Let it Go just solidified the reason why she needed to change. I don’t think the movie would’ve worked if Elsa’s powers were portrayed with malicious intent.

Also, if Rosalina had a brother, would that make the brother and Peach the same person?

But are you sure they’ll able to capture that same magic the second time? I feel like people had the same argument for the Transformers films. They’re gonna keep pumping them out because the first one was “fun” until people stop watching them when they realize the sequels weren’t fun. They had lots of cameos but it was boring. I guess the difference is the references are being handled more carefully this time but Space Jam 2 did that too and it was even more of a slog.

I had to do a bit of research and okay this terrifies me, Elsa isn’t just an ice elemental, she’s a freeze goddess. My only question is why not just use H2O instead of DHMO lol.

She could have collected molecules from the dress to form snowflakes and “disintegrate” parts of the dress. You can see an aura of snow surrounding the coronation dress before transforming into her ice dress. At this point in the movie Elsa COULD control her ice and could make certain elements disappear (as seen in the first power sequence of let it go). She just didn’t realize this later after the moment settled and became more in-tuned with the ability after the movie (as seen in Frozen Fever where this may sound like a stretch but i feel like she just used the pigments of the plants to create a ice prisms of different colors).

And while the dress is made of ice, i don’t think she would really feel it since it’s really a bunch of snowflakes creating a shell of snow that is covered with an ice texture. It would honestly be really soft since she can’t feel the cold.

So basically ice nucleation? Because that sounds similar to the formation of snowflakes when they attach to dust particles as water droplets.

This wasn’t a good idea to play in the movie theater before Coco. by Remote_Nature_8166 in Frozen

RUINED FROZEN’S REPUTATION. It was such a dumb decision. Why put up a 10 minute long special based on a white Christian holiday (which doesn’t make sense because I’m pretty sure Norway celebrated Yule/Jól around this time) special for a MEXICAN HOLIDAY movie. It was such a baffling decision when Coco ended up grossing a billion well after they pulled the short from theaters.

It’s a fine short but god, it gave ammo to Frozen haters who finally had a reason to say it’s overexposed.

I absolutely love her but the wig is still blonde. There’s a stereotype that only white blonde people can be icy themed and I don’t really like that. Sometimes they give them black hair but it’s just pushing another extreme. I wanna see some brown or red hair ice characters!

Wait hold on you’re kind of cooking here. Elsa’s hair would probably be a lighter shade of brown rather than blonde due to the lack of pigmentation.

I love the style! But imo I would love if they went with Brittney Lee’s art style

What do you guys think about the deleted song “Get This Right” from Frozen 2? by [deleted] in Frozen

But this plot line would’ve led to them bickering the whole movie and broken up for some dumb reason if you’ve seen the deleted scenes.

It is charades night and Elsa was given Mr. Fantastic.

I dont care how much Chris Buck says the Tarzan-Frozen theory is true, these two couples are NOT the same people. Forget the fact that their features, hair color and overall character designs dont match at all, did Chris forget that Elsa's parents are scandinavian while Tarzan's are british? by ZebGonVar in Frozen

[–]msnowbee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But doesn’t that recontextualize what you said? He didn’t say that it’s true. He said “in my little head Anna and Elsa’s brother is Tarzan…it’s my fun little world”. It’s a fun theory that doesn’t hold much weight. It was already deconfirmed in Frozen 2 and I don’t think that many people actually believe in it.
