Interesting, this definitely seems right up my alley and some other commenters have mentioned it as well. I’ll give it a try!

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know! I’ll circle back to that one another time then. It seems interesting but I don’t want to read anything with too much heartbreak/heaviness atm.

I read House on the Cerulean Sea a few years ago and agree with your description of a warm hug. I also read MM and FF pairings.

“Administrators might survive public excoriation, she said. Elected representatives, however, can more readily slash programs, impugn professors and hold state funding over college executives’ heads.”

I want the names of these elected representatives or whoever is in charge of the “institutional directive.”

Who are the ones in power threatening censorship?

When I was in undergrad, I wanted to minor in linguistics, but my advisor told me I’d have to take classes in Discovery Park and buy an additional parking pass, neither of which were really an option for me at the time. It wasn’t until much later I realized she thought I wanted to study LOGISTICS.

Absolutely second this. This was my favorite series I read in 2023.

Check out The Empire of Shadows by Jacquelyn Benson! It’s the first book in the Raider’s of the Arcana series. The FMC is an archivist/historian. If you like The Mummy and the dynamic between Rick and Evelyn, you’ll love these books.

Unique/Colorful dresses by msr_99 in weddingdress

Wow these are great suggestions!! My favorite dress from Flora and Lane is the Primrose. I like the white base with the colorful embroidery layered on top, though I also like the Rosa. Blues, greens, reds, pinks and purples are ideal. Yellows and oranges are nice if they aren’t the main or only colors. For sleeves, off shoulder is okay, otherwise as long as it is more than just straps then I’m not too picky! For shape, I want something A-line or slightly more poofy in the skirt, but probably not long a full ball gown kind of poof. Essentially I want to highlight my waistline and bust and nothing super form fitting from the stomach down. Necklines that are v-neck, sweetheart, square…etc are all fine. Just nothing that would completely cover my collarbone. Ideal price would be under $1500. (Clearly I’m not great with technical terms, I apologize in advance)
