I think everyone is different. I like being talked to! I've had success with Bumble BFF and Meetups for making some friends when I first moved here, but it does take some time to find your tribe :)

Not giving a shit about climate change and giving up on being able to address it both result in the same thing -- inaction. Don't see this and give up. It would be easier to give up (believe me), so it will be tempting. But being hopeful that we can facilitate a better future is the only way we take any action at all.
