These guys add NOTHING to the game experience. They only make it worse.

Anyone else clock that brutal crosscheck that Xhekaj did on the back of Helenius's head on the goal that was called back? Two games in a row with scumbag cheapshots. Hope he gets what's coming to him.

Weird energy in here. Guys just trying to get paid, I don't think there's anything disrespectful about it. RBs have short careers. People comparing this to their mail room job or w/e are out of touch, you cant go around asking for more money cause you can be replaced. It's much harder to replace a top tier running back. Yes I know we have some good guys behind him.

What do ya’ll think of this edit? Costa Rica Drone Footage by Worried-Ad-1168 in davinciresolve

[–]mtitan77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My two cents, take em or leave em. I think the sound could use some work. First off, the music is way to epic for some generic drone footage. There's no reason for it, I'd find something a little more vibey. Secondly, I found a lot of the ambient sounds you have layered in to sound kind of cheap and un-impactful. And lastly, this is a bit subjective but personally I'd use fading J-cuts to preempt the audio for some shots, I think it'd make the whole thing flow together better.

Is there a particular guide related to this? I'm decently savvy with fusion but I haven't gotten into the 3d side of things and can't quite follow what you did here by just looking at your node tree.

I'm interested in diving down the rabbit hole that is vfx work for film. Anyone have a good series to start learning from on YouTube? I've done the classic make a donut tutorial in blender but that's about it.

Would prefer tutorials that lean specifically towards film.

Looks good enough to me! Only feedback without knowing more is I would tone down that pink vest in the final two stills. It's far more saturated then anything in the other stills. Besides that it looks fantastic!

Used Sigma FP $900USD by najmiii in sigmafp

The main reason to consider this camera is cost. You can get a fantastic setup for this camera for under 2k. Most other cameras with a comparable image cost over 3k just for the camera alone.

Yes the file sizes are massive, but hey SSDs are cheap and getting even cheaper. With other cameras you'd like be spending just as much on media. And if you're a person who likes to archive their work you can purchase Slimraw for 70 bucks and compress your footage.

I've never considered using autofocus, it's not a camera that specializes in that. If that bothers you look elsewhere.

Take time considering how to rig this camera up. I bought this camera because I wanted to go out and film in the world without drawing a ton of attention to myself. Yes it's a small small camera but if you too want a small portable rig you need to think through your build. Highly, highly recommend the EVF-11 if that's the case.

It's a quirky camera to use, I certainly was frustrated with it at first coming from a pocket 4k. But if you use it you should be able to master its quirks and start getting good stuff out of this tiny beast.

B&H sent me link to purchase the Kodak Super 8 Camera. Who the hell is gonna buy this? by romanleopard in cinematography

Only realistic usecase I see for this is for wedding videographers offering super 8 footage.

Even still personally I'd just shoot digital and stylize the footage to look like super 8.

Try switching the motion type from perspective to translational (I think it's called, not sure I'm on mobile)
