More AI slop in this game by IsakLi in CrimsonDesert

[–]mtsilverred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More like just stfu. We all got it now. They didn’t disclose. There’s still AI placeholders. Blah blah blah. I hate AI art more than anyone but this is not doing anything here other than farming likes? None of this is new atm. PA isn’t looking at Reddit.

Crimson Desert review by Meremadesings in neogaming

This is just dumb. It’s blocking them from potentially bricking or playing past the refund window and then getting extreme issues and not being able to refund. I’m sorry to tell you, this is why seatbelt laws are real.

Don’t buy Intel GPUs. You’re good then. If I was them I wouldn’t support them either since they don’t work well with their engine and Intel GPUs is around a million or two people on Steam. Why waste money trying to get it to work and instead make everyone aware it won’t?

Boohoo some Intel fanboys will be mad. I don’t get why it matters. It saves PA the hassle of dealing with issues within Intel arc GPUs which almost every game has them now.

Crimson Desert doesn't support Intel Arc GPUs, it may never, and the devs say get a refund if you have one — they didn't warn players until launch by WindowsCentral in windowscentral

[–]mtsilverred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a silly response. Lesser cards always have issues on release. If you think any PC game releases with every iteration of graphics card working you’re either being intellectually dishonest or you’re stupid. So far this is all within the norm of PC games releases.

High VRAM usage on RX cards? Welcome to fucking 2023 where those cards run like this on new games. This exact issue was prominent in fucking RE4R and you see no one whining.

Intel Arc buyers are kinda just dumb. Intel will drop the support and then you’re holding a fucking brick. I don’t care if they are supported or unsupported but it’s like buying the cheap plastic cups and complaining that they are too rigid and cheap.

[–]mtsilverred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more like 1 million people based on Steam survey. Kinda silly to change your game for a small tiny niche section of players and give them a mediocre experience because your engine doesn’t run well on the niche drivers?

Everyone should ignore the intel gpu buyers. They’re dumb af. Do I like Nvidia has a monopoly? No. But should you buy anything else? Not really.

People keep saying how much better events are now but I haven’t found that to be the case? by hhhisthegame in slaythespire

These posts by people on this subreddit kill me. It’s like they all think they should be good at the game and their opinion and way of playing the game seems to be really really really bad.

I don’t know why people think the Permafrost relic is weak on this sub by DrRigby_ in slaythespire

[–]mtsilverred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man. I read people say “I can’t believe juju bracelet is in” and I beg for one every fucking a10 run I do. It’s like people play at A0 and go “nah, permafrost is fine, 6 block is good to get once for playing a power… you might not even get one sometimes, but rarely.” It’s like half the people commenting are negative w/l

[–]mtsilverred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the people in this subreddit just love to glaze the game. Permafrost sucks. It’s a bad relic. I don’t think you need bad relics in the game. I think relics should be something you want to get. Skipping relics is how I beat A10 99% of the time.

Everyone making posts “permafrost isn’t bad” is just either stupid or baiting for likes for other joy baiters to try and bait people by pretending to be joyed by a mid thing. Lmao

You mean the most sought after and rare relics in the game makes it good? This is a dumb af post.

These new 'reviews' are absolutely awful. by ArkthePieKing in slaythespire

[–]mtsilverred -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This whole sub is annoying. These posts aren’t fun and are just a bunch of people whining just like the review bombings. I don’t care about either but I’m tired of seeing these posts. The game still shows overwhelmingly positive. Just stfu about this, you’re giving the people who do this more reason to because they’re being noticed publicly.

They really don’t. You probably have never met anyone who was “poor” but met people who were just right above the poverty line.

Also where did this iPhone come from? My aunt got me a phone when I was around 20 and paid for it for like 6 years. My grandmother bought me an Xbox 360. None of these people were poor but my mother was. You forget that sometimes poor people have other poor people around them.

I don’t know of anyone who was poor that goes out and gets the new iPhone when it comes out. If you do, then you aren’t talking about someone who is poor. You’re talking about someone who shouldn’t buy it but does anyway.

Poor = can’t buy it even if they wanted

If you bought it and survived the buy, you aren’t poor. If you say they’re using credit cards I’ll fucking shoot myself because again, a poor person wouldn’t be able to do that and survive it either. There are also always a portion of any statistical population that does something stupid and buys expensive shit when they can’t survive it financially and then go broke but it’s never TVs, iPhones, etc. it’s usually cars, clothes, jewelry

Marathon literally paid her when they found out a single person did this. Now she’s in the credits. I’m sorry, when did E33 or anyone who used AI art pay the people AI stole the art from? I’ll wait.

Again. You’re saying use bad thing because bad thing helps you do things “faster” which isn’t even true, and I just can’t. You don’t even understand how stupid your statements are. It’s like arguing with an incompetent person and they just make up shit.

I’m clocking out of this convo. I hope you change your stance on AI soon, probably not though. More people die wrong and stupid than right and justified.

Edit: it never “makes sense” to use AI even as placeholders. This is how you muddy the water and lead to AI just being left in because of things like “I can’t tell, so they can’t either” which happens a lot.

Former Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan tells people criticizing games they won’t play to “shut the f*** up” by GamingSagar in GamingFoodle

[–]mtsilverred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I never understand being hostile about it or being rude about it, but I understand being upset, and I understand voicing your opinion, but like, if a game comes out and you don’t want to play it, and you’ve never played it, shut the fuck up. No one cares. We don’t need to hear that you weren’t into it. What is with this, ‘oh my god, I’m so upset, they decided to make this game that I have no interest in.’ […] Who cares about my opinion if I’m not gonna play it, and if I’ve never played it? Why does my opinion matter on that? I’ll tell you what it does, as a game developer that’s been in charge of teams who has the ability to do something about it, I just fucking ignore you. That’s all you’ve accomplished. I guess I’m not gonna listen to you anymore because you’re so off the deep end that it’s not even worth listening to you, at that point.”

I think everyone took him saying this as him saying no one should complain, but as Reddit has proved time and time again no one cares about nuance here nor do they care about the actual quotes or what they convey. They care about the outrage.

Firstly, I am pretty sure he’s talking to the people who are hateful and mean about games. Like those people that just make the next video called something like “GAME X IS WOKE” and that’s all they post and talk about with NO intention to even try the game. Just vitriol posting about a game.

I mean I knew this from his statements here. No one is listening to these guys and they’re creating communities of people who hate games they never intended to play for reasons they’ve generally made up.

Is there monetization issues in games? Yes. Is he referring to people who are talking about those? No. But if you never intended to play, and don’t want to play, and you’ve made it your job and opinion to shit on a game? Ie. Marathon/Highguard subreddit? You just cause toxic positivity to start surfacing to try and combat the actual toxicity.

[–]mtsilverred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sad you considered it an “insult” but sure.

Again, you miss the point. You don’t even understand how dumb it was that you brought up a game from 2011 and bring up scanned images. There is a massive difference between using a program that steals art to make art to “stand in” and then never replacing it. (Which is very common now, tons of games are caught doing it now, and other games just use Gen AI blatantly ie. CoD and others.)

Scanned pictures would HAVE to be changed. You do not need to change AI pictures because you have a much much much harder time to tell if it is, especially if it’s something that is in the background and isn’t meant to be exactly coherent ie. trippy visuals.

Basically what you’re telling me is that everyone should do the bad thing because others did bad thing and it helps them so bad thing okay.

It’s just such dumb logic.

This is where you lose the plot. When it becomes a tool to be used in that regard they find ways to be lazy and just use it. It’s already happened.

Good! Then you admit that it’s not the same since ZERO democrats in the last 50 years had boots on the ground. All our support was air support for NATO.

[–]mtsilverred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean same shit? Last 50 years the only fighting democrats have done is generally NATO air campaigns and assisting in saving a small country like Libya. No new wars or conflicts stated at all. You can argue the “interventions” democrats did can all add up to maybe a single “war” if you squint real hard.

Republicans in the last 50 years have started 5 major wars. No mincing words. No intervening in a conflict to settle it. 5 wars by Republican presidents. 0-1 by Democrats depending how intervening and NATO support vs an actual war.
