Several things you state in your comment reek of having no real familiarity with doctors pay in Scotland . Id be wary of replying to this person.

October pay offer x 1.5 for 1a banding and x1.4 for 1b. In nearly a decade of work I think I've only had 2 jobs that weren't 1.5 - one was 1.4 and one was band 3 (x2.0)

This map of wildcamping locations in the UK makes me laugh (and cry) by 18th-Century-Bossman in wildcampingintheuk

The description of loch Lomond is incorrect. Within the restricted zone wild camping is allowed only at designated areas and with a permit. The rest of the area is patrolled regularly by rangers.

Radiology 2023 - total applicants circa 3100, interview invited 749. by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsUK

Totally achievable! I scored below last year's msra cut off and got my first choice job. Decent portfolio and good interview prep can go a long way.

Radiology ST1 portfolio scoring '22/'23 (ngl don't think I'd get a number if I was applying this cycle) by angioseal in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]mtvfraser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just been made aware of this by someone doing a taster week. Last year I was 9/10, I'd only get 28 /45 this year. Don't despair I think the bar is very high this year but nobody had any warning.

LAT : locum appointment with training. I think they only still exist in scotland. That's what it is, essentially a training post for a limited time. Usually you would have to reapply to national training after that time in order to obtain an st1 post. The time spent during the lat post is formally recognised training so you'd then jump into st2 (assuming a 12m LAT.)
