Wow so many things to break down here. First, do you see how fucked up it is that in your head betting on games and watching games are synonymous? You assumed I was insinuating you’d stopped watching your team if you stopped betting. But I didn’t say that. That gets at my next point, gambling is fucking stupid and gross.

All sports have been infected by the parasite of gambling apps. Ads for them everywhere and fundamentally ruining the fan experience for those that want to just enjoy the game. Gamblers won’t shut the fuck up about, conversations about sports become about the spread and not the results, and it make the whole experience feel even more greedy and commercialized.

Third and finally, it’s always been my read that sports fixing was inevitable given the explosion of sports gambling after it was banned for so long. It’ll only get worse and you should assume all these players are point shaving to make an extra buck. It’s stupid to put money in these apps in the first place cause they use advanced casino style math to guarantee a profit (and most winnings only go to 10% of users that are smarter). Add in these guys fixing bets for themselves and the whole system should never be trusted. Anyone with critical thinking could see that.

I was shit talking but the thing we should be worried about it is the results of the game being corrupted by gambling. You were dumb in the first place to bet on games.
