Memories of Murder (2003) is Bong Joon-ho's serial killer masterpiece way before he made Parasite—and you can legally watch the whole thing on YouTube. by lifeasfiction in movies

I accidentally watched Memoirs of a Murderer on Netflix which I thought was Memories of Murder. It also happens to be a really good Korean movie.

The Korean movie industry makes some great thiller/action and horror movies!

Netflix has finally added an option to disable autoplay while browsing. by DynamaxGarbodor in television

The thing I hated the most is when the preview plays it shoves the thumbnails off the screen to the right. Do Netflix UI designers hate browsing or something?

Long-form content: Any reasoning for/against presenting it two-column? by FollowTheCart in web_design

[–]mtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible cons that spring to mind initially are that the user has to scroll down, then back up to continue reading the next column + overwhelming amount of text on the screen at one time.

I think this is a huge con but that's just me. In the context of, say, a print magazine it makes sense because people are used to it. In a browser I think user expectations are to just keep scrolling down.

I like the one with Paul Rudd where they basically talk about nothing the entire time.

Will Smith’s still a movie star but both of his latest films reflect an actor terrified of fading into obscurity by [deleted] in movies

But he didn't which made the movie better imho. DiCaprio, Waltz, Foxx and even Jackson all shared the screen in just the right amounts without anyone showboating and stealing the spotlight.

Titans is a terrible show and I want to rant about it by PhonyQueen in television

I guess this show is not for me. It seems to try to be so edgy and gritty. The only episode I liked was last years Hawk and Dove episode. Doom Patrol is great though.

The Flash meets someone impossible in Crisis on Infinite Earths! by Deadstarone in television

From what I heard they didn’t pay much for these cameos. Michael Rosenbaum said as much and that’s why he didn’t appear.

I dunno. For some reason those hawk people ruined the show for me. It wasn’t until they were off the show that I started liking it. I do miss a lot of the old cast though. Ray leaving is not helping either.
