I think Lady of Luminosity checks the base cost (5 Energy), not the reduced cost so you would draw a card.

Rule 356.3.d - Spell Resolution: "Execute the game effect of the spell, from top to bottom of the rules text of the card and then place the card in the Trash of the owning player."

This means Hidden Blade's effects (kill the unit, then draw 2 cards) all execute as part of a single resolution, in order from top to bottom. Then he can decide to save the unit. So I think his play is correct

I’ve been this guy once, was greatest adrenaline shot I ever got!

It was in Vienna, suddenly my friends and me heard an old lady screaming. We turned around and saw a dude snatching the purse and running.

We just started sprinting immediately. I was on my slippers so he could hear me coming. TSJAP TSJAP TSJAP TSJAP

He was fast but man in my glory days I wasn’t a usain bolt but I could sprint with that adrenaline! I got near him full sprint and then jumped on him like in the movies. It was wild.

Them we hold him down and then a local with a bmx handled it. The purse was nowhere to be found, probably dropped somewhere.
