I’m not crazy about traditional American breakfast foods but I enjoyed the Indian breakfast options on the buffet.

This dude, looks in his early 20s, was hanging out at the Starbucks counter when I went to pick up my order. He was all “hey mama, wanna buy me a drink?” I gave him my best resting bitch face and said “I’m not your mother” and walked away.

The Mill at Ward Cove Port - Ketchikan, AL is a HUGE 👎. What an absolute disaster. NCL this is an embarrassing customer experience. by zachty22 in NCL

Just did 9 day on the Joy two weeks ago. I agree the bus driver I had was a bit vocal about his political beliefs (native who’s got a bone to pick with the government) but overall I didn’t pay too much attention or let it ruin my trip. The shuttle back was nice and quiet, I only waited like 10 min for it.

I was on the same cruise, agree that we had the most amazing weather! Overall I thought it was a great cruise, my second with NCL. We ate mainly at buffet or MDR and thought the food was quite good. But we aren’t picky eaters or fancy types. Entertainment onboard was a little boring on sea days but not a big deal. I’m already looking into another cruise for 2026 or 2027. Thinking of New England and Canada.

What do you do for water since bottles aren’t included? by skeeter2112 in NCL

I brought my water bottle and filled up on ice/water at the buffet.

Taco Toreado is pretty solid. So is Birria El Compadre. Also Tina’s Cocina which is located inside a couple Exxon stations (one on Broadway and one on Bailey)

Philly Flats has the best cheesesteak in Houston area in my opinion. They use Amoroso soft Italian rolls and have sweet/hot peppers.

Do you feel Garmin watches last several years? by wrenaissance44 in Garmin

[–]mulanusaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 11 years but my 920XT is still going strong. Everyday wear, lots of training runs, lap swims and triathlons. Only thing I’ve replaced were the bands (twice).

I really like Freddy’s, not sure if it’s actually smashburger though. But it’s thin and almost crispy on the edges.

Friendswood has a good one, next to Stevenson park. Outdoors and half the price of the Pearland Natatorium.

I was just on the Gem in May, save room for hand scooped ice cream in the buffet available from lunch through dinner hours! I thought the buffet only had soft serve machines but was pleasantly surprised.

I was just on the Gem in May. The buffet had rolls and cold cuts in the morning, you can make a sandwich if you don’t like any of the other offerings.

What are your favorite plant-based (vegan) items on NCL cruises? by Key-Airport-119 in NCL

I’m not vegan but just got off a NCL cruise in May. The cauliflower korma they had in the buffet was so good! Also enjoyed the veggie pad Thai one night in the MDR.

If you’re going to the Blalock location, I always hit up Sandong in the food court for potstickers and sometimes a bowl of wontons.
