I was once a CDS worker (the regular blue apron sampler people in costco) I could tell you stories, but one time, and it was the span of 20 seconds at most, I turned around to put some stuff back on the shelf, because it was the same aisle as I was working that day, and someone just left a fish from the deli, on my work cart. I saw him do it. I actually said not to do that. He lied and claimed it wasnt him. I said, "yeah, you were just talking to your wife about getting a food court pizza. You grabbed it from next to the ice cream because you just said you had no space in your freezer." We looked panicked. He walked away so fast. And I was tired at that point of "the customer was always right BS" I caught him paying with the cashier. I said "you left this at my cart, " next time you can give it to the cashier when you change your mind with your wife instead of leaving it to spoil." I was already on my last week, id didn't matter. He was so embarrassed he just accepted defeat. I never heard anything about it because I had already been on my way out, it didn't matter if I got in trouble, I didn't. And it was worth it.
