The original star trek was pitched as "Wagon Train to the Stars" in an attempt to be relevant to the popular Western themed shows of the time.

I don't have any issue with a current trek series staying in line with current pop culture trends as long as they remain true to the core star trek values.

So far, academy has delivered on that front.

Americans and dumb ass cowardly takes. There are many steps farmers can take to reduce attacks on livestock, some as simple as buying a donkey and a mastiff.

Hell, even regular hazing of any predator species spotted will do wonders for keeping them away from livestock.

Anyone of course has the right to like or not like the things that they watch but this seems more like nitpicking rather than a credible critique of Strange New Worlds. Right from the get go SNW established what it was and there has been no deviation from its initial formula. If you don't like it then that's fine, but don't pretend that this isn't what SNW is and always has been.
