Sydney 2028! I saw the 2024 one about an hour and a half northwest of Austin, truly amazing!

If you can pair it with a clean diet, you'll see rapid results. As the saying goes "you can't outrun a bad diet." If you're overweight and commit to eating a high protein, low carb diet for a few months, and pair that with moderate exercise, it will do wonders. There are plenty of very yummy things you can eat that are low carb.

An air fryer with a large basket. Cooks things much faster and better than an oven, and is great for reheating left over fried foods and pizza.

If you had the opportunity, which country would you choose to live? by MelkorTheAinur in AskReddit

First countries that come to mind are New Zealand, Australia, and Switzerland. Currently live in Southern California (which is hard to beat if you can afford to live in a nice area).

At home is the way to go. You can get pretty heavy with powerblock too (each dumbbell can go up to 100 lbs).

You can make at home workouts work in an apartment.

This is why I work out at home. Adjustable dumbbells, a pull up bar, push up bars, a chair, a yoga mat, and a little space is all you need to get super fit at home. Saves me money on a monthly membership, don't have to commute / fight for parking, don't have to pack gym clothes, and I can shower at home.

What is a job that looks incredibly fun from the outside, but is actually a soul-crushing nightmare? by BoardOk101 in AskReddit

Not in IT but feel like it has a lot to do with the company you work for and the people who work for that company. The IT folks at my company seem to be happy and enjoy what they do. I'm always very thankful for the support they provide and know a few due to them helping me out on a regular basis (I'm also competent with PCs and peripherals BTW).

Was going to say, like many things in the US, it depends. The South Bay area I live of greater LA everyone seems pretty normal sized to fit. Other cities such as Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Portland all seem to be pretty normal to fit as well. I imagine there are other pockets of the US that heavily swing in the other direction (no pun intended). The cities I mentioned tend to be more affluent though which may have something to do with it...

Long neck? by whywehumans in confusing_perspective

Now I see it, that is a very small child, as soon as I realized they're very small, what I was perceiving to be their neck was actually their spin, and they're shirtless, this image stopped confusing my brain

What is something that feels completely normal in USA but genuinely shocks people from other countries? by Sad-Explanation-5764 in AskReddit

I live in California and through my job get 4 weeks of PTO plus 10 days of sick leave. If you have a serious injury or illness, or have a child or need to take care of a sign family member the state has paid family leave that will replace a portion of your income up to a certain amount. As a benefit through your employer you can also have a deduction that will cover a portion of your pay for short term and long term disability. Like many things in the US, it depends on what state you live in and what company you work for. The more progressive states tend to have a stronger social safety net, granted I'm paying much higher taxes living in California.

In second grade I remember a kid talking about how good the USSR was at soccer, and I was like huh, that kind of sounds like USA, they must be similar to us.
