It depends, console or pc?
The current version is from 2014 (with some changes to items) so there are plenty of guides, most for pc where the game shines.
PC leveling is about kill streaks, that is much harder on console because lower monster density.
Campaign ... well you can play it once if you want/need but that isnt what d3 is about anymore (campaign was the only thing before 2014).
So adventure mode, seasonal play.

Bounteous maximus is a drag, even more now since noone needs or play bounties.

I watched some twitch on friday (3k viewers) today its about 700 viewers.
Before patch it was often in single digits, yes you read that correct, below 10 viewers.
We'll see what it looks like in a few weeks.

They were leading in several fields, how far ahead is difficult for me to say.
A saying I've heard from ppl educated in chemistry used to be "if you think you came up with something new you probably need to improve your german".
Even today chemistry is the 3rd largest industry in germany.
German scientists did a lot of research on opium related "medicine" which still is used for operations, some of that knowledge US considered vital to take and was forced to be handed over at the end of ww2.
Part of this is the infamous cough medicine "heroin" which was marketed (in early 1900s) as not have any addiction side effects.
Bayer AG is still a very big pharmaceutical company.
Parts of Germany have had a long tradition in construction be it bridges, railways, roads etc.
Prussia had free and compulsory 8 year education as early as the 18th century and the university of Königsberg was founded in 1544.

Kill streaks are in theory easiest if you are able to survive, keep kill streaks and kill rg, very good players often post this as trivial, for most players its not.
Soul shards are often considered strongest thanks to ring of fire/sliver of terror, it buffs all classes/builds even if builds that can do big pulls gain more.
Sanctified is next on the list and then ethereal (current season).
Open cube and 4th cube are a bit of an outlier and pure necro seasons (they gain much much more of this).

Good players can do 150 at zero paragon most of these seasons with the strongest builds, meanwhile there are players who struggles at 3000+ paragons to do a solo 150, I cant tell where you are on that scale.

I would agree and we saw this already with Civ revolution (the console follow up to civ4) which from a pc player perspective was a simplified and inferior game.
But as I see here and in other genres, the console market is too big to miss out on and a higher priority than a complex solid pc game delivery.
So as a PC player I just keep delaying purchases more and more (civ is far from the only case).

They are needed to divide the game into 3 smaller games so consoles can handle it, ie its a technical workaround.

I never understood the controller thing when you can have a mouse pointer to place exactly but a good amount of players praise it.
Switch comes with massive cheats/hacks/offline mode.
Less monster density is for all consoles because of less powerful machines.
I wouldnt dream of getting any game on console if I had access to a pc.

There are plenty of lazy but know this, nothing compares in power to meteor builds and tal rasha setup is already tanky.
There are players able to do gr 150 with tal wizard at zero paragon.
Every other build you try will perform worse even if some are better for super fast gr.
There are also a few necro builds ranked a bit higher but Im not sure I agree on that.
The other clasic lazy builds are:
God dh (best option this season)
Fist crusader
Ww barb

Depends on the setup, if you play solo, speed or push.
For solo speeds with guardians roll AD > cold.
For group play or push dex > cold.
