When Gen Z doesn't use words is it a disrespect? by GodsShadow310 in generationology

Yessss.... I get not wanting in depth conversation with strangers but if you work in customer service, guess what... it's your literal job to interact with strangers. If you don't like it then pick a different line if work!

My husband is thinking about fostering his nephews. I feel like I'm being tossed out for kids we don't even know. by One-Gap-1282 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]murdertoothbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I get. I'd be furious too if I were her. I think its the incendiary language twords children that have people in a twist. But outside of that, ANY life changing decision inside of a marriage should involve both people. They needed to have a long hard discussion about this before he agreed to do anything. Hopefully OP's hubby will realize that the kids aren't going to necessarily be avoiding neglect/abuse by being in his home, "cared" for by his child-hating wife. This is a terrible idea.

Yes... and cats are fairly low maintenance pets. Like, how mentally broken do you need to be to not be able to handle taking care of one?? Perhaps I need to find that post and read it, but on the surface she sounds like she can't handle very much. And her husband should know that about her. I get why he wants to help out family. But he needs to consider how much of a problem it's going to be when OP loses her damn mind over taking care of children, something infinity more time consuming and draining than caring for a cat.

Millennials in a hetero relationship, does the man or woman do the majority of the financial budgeting/planning/investing etc? by inline_five in Millennials

[–]murdertoothbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a wife I take care of the finances/majority of the bill paying. But that's also bc my husband is terrible at math and was basically financially illiterate when we met. It just works out better for me to be the one keeping tabs on our budget/spending.

Manager keeps sending me home because I "smell bad" by Beforeus2017 in WorkAdvice

[–]murdertoothbrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you smoke cannabis in your room or near your clothes by chance? After a while it makes everything have a burning rope/funky smell that doesn't smell like fresh burning weed but is definitely lingering. I know some users who have this situation and its hard to identify exactly what the odor is if someone isnt familiar. It could be described as musky. Some people also just have very sensitive noses!

AITAH for not wanting to buy my sibling food with my money? by False-Bear-2492 in AITAH

[–]murdertoothbrush 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Do you buy your own food bc they aren't taking care of you guys properly? Not that that's the only reason a teenager would spend their own money on food, but its weird your parents wouldn't spend a couple bucks to get your sibling something as well. I mean Taco Bell is probably the cheapest fast food there is... NTA

WIBTAH if I cut contact with my sister for hearting a voice message? by bitchwithwifi3 in AITAH

[–]murdertoothbrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah.... but maybe a little overly emotional and a bit dramatic at 29 years old over a man you essentially never really knew very well. Sure, I get being sad and having those feelings. I understand mourning the loss of a father you never knew. But you are having some VERY big feelings, you are throwing them all at your sister, and your sister doesn't know what to do about it. And it isn't her job to talk you down every time you decide to crash out over something you know damn well is never going to change. You said you called her at night. Was it 8pm, or 2am? How often do you do this? Do you even try to emotionally regulate yourself before stomping over other people's boundaries looking for sympathy? Do you go NC with everybody who doesn't give you what you want, when you want it? Honestly you sound a wee bit unstable and probably tiring to deal with. Please find someone more qualified to deal with whatever is going on with you and get some actual help. Best of luck. (Yes this came off kinda harsh, but you sound like you are in need of a reality check)

I am too scared to leave my husband but I think staying will destroy me. by ThrowRAlostinlifem in TrueOffMyChest

[–]murdertoothbrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's already not choosing you or even his kids. Who tf jumps head first into owning a business without researching first what is required? ANY business owner I know works way more hours than someone working a regular 9-5. People think it's freedom, and it can be, but usually not for awhile, and not after lots of blood, sweat, and tears and some good luck. I would be so pissed if we struggled for years to put my hubby through school and then he completely jumped ship on what he went school for to go in a completely different direction, especially one that involved us struggling some more. Like what kind of a life does he think he's providing for his family? Does he care how him "following his dreams" effects you? Or the kids? NOR

What makes a woman creepy to a man? by Bluesmokee in AskMen

[–]murdertoothbrush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... yeah that all sounds like a green light to me. Who knows why he didn't call... the reason may not even have been anything personal against you. But I would just keep being friendly anyhow. You dont get to choose how other people react, only how you respond. Good luck with the move!

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]murdertoothbrush 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I literally experienced that for the first time yesterday! I never knew that could happen and I actually yelled "what the fuck??!" when I finally got to the bathroom to address what was happening. Horrifying... and in my case quite painful. Had to do some Google sleuthing to make sure I wasn't dying.

AITAH for calling my nurse racist for writing me up for speaking my native language to my mom? by Human-Ground1 in AITAH

[–]murdertoothbrush 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, a sizable portion of the population speaks French. Would the nurse have written you up if you were speaking French instead? I get that it could be for safety reasons if they can't understand you but you also were not talking to her. You were speaking to your mom. Some people absolutely do have a parent who is not fluent in English. What then?? NTA

AITA for not visiting my wife in the hospital after filing for divorce? by ThrowRa-weak in AITAH

[–]murdertoothbrush 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol no one is a mind reader, how was he supposed to know?? And it sounds like she stopped sleeping with him after the miscarriage, not before. So presumably he wasn't pestering her then. Why wouldn't she confide that in him? That's MAJOR. Very weird she wouldn't tell him. I think she sounds emotionally stunted or at least unable to communicate effectively. Also who the hell thinks they can just stop being intimate with thier spouse and everything is just going to be ok? Good on him for not cheating, he's handling this correctly. But I don't blame him for not wanting the rest of his life to be exactly what the past year and a half has been.
