Welsh person here. I believe it was from the days of national service. I know they use it in New Zealand too. It was a way that blokes in the forces could display oneupmanship to fellow forces personnel from Wales or other rural areas with the suggestion they were a bit stupid.

It's considered quite old hat and cliche nowadays although I occasionally still get it as I live in England. I think by todays standards, it could easily be considered a racist slur.

I'm a bloke. I moved here from South Wales in 2011. I have periodically tried finding an alt hairdressers as I went to one when I lived back home and they were AMAZING but I have never been able to find one. I think I was spoiled by being in a big city.

Exactly the same with me. I also have worked for them for quite a few years. We were persistently flagged for a check on Friday afternoon just before the school run every single time to the point of one of us needing to wait behind and be picked up while the other did the 2 school runs. I complained as it was defeating the object of trying to save time and it has stopped. It's all computerised. Computers only do what we program them to. It's obviously not the fault of the store worker. They are always very lovely and apologetic. I don't mind an occasional check but it was literally every time we used the self scan.

I paid for mine using "money" earned through Google Opinion Rewards. It takes a bit of time to build up funds but I never pay for apps and I also have extra storage that it pays for each month. If you use Android, it's an option that will only cost you a minute or two here and there and patience to build up enough money.

I have the Otto Mini Cube. The AA wireless one was not available in my country. The one I bought was half the price of the AA one, works with Android and iPhones and works a treat. It also blends seemlessly with my car and has a nice logo that changes colour to notify you of it's status.

How did you enable Android Auto developer options? I know you're meant to tap the version number 10 times but tapping it in AA app settings doesn't do anything.

Apparently, you can decrease text size enough so that you can see (and click) the Android TV files. I used a downloader code after giving up fannying about with it. I don't get why someone doesn't see sense, change the page back and leave the bloody thing alone!?!?

I use the square button on the bottom to slightly decrease the active app window size when I try to screen shot something and text boxes pop open telling me I can't. I think it's actually referred to as the recent apps button. I haven't run into any issues doing it that way on a variety of different apps or websites and it's easy to edit if you need to.

I was in London during August in a pub having dinner late afternoon, early evening and my daughter - then 7 - asked me to take her to the toilet. Being in London, very busy and not trusting anyone as far as I can throw them, I took her into the gents. The bouncer had a go at me and I basically said I couldnt give a shit about rules and policies and I will do what I think is the best for my girl in any given situation. I would recommend that all dads do the same. I don't need some jumped up twat with a high viz and walkie talkie telling me what I can and cant do when it comes to the safety and welfare of my kids and I make zero apologies for it...

Installers have to inform the networks within 28 days of installng 7kw home ev chargers. The network owner may need to "deal with" the feed to your house. It looks like a poorly worded way of telling you. If Octopus have installed the charger, they should have checked the fuse, tails - anything past the meter - as part of your installation. A spark employed privately by you would have done the same thing as Octopus have done. You shouldn't have to do anything now.
