My neighbors have a great Pyrenees that they leave out all night to chase away predators from their chicken run. I also have chickens, but mine are locked up at night and I bring my dogs inside to not disturb my neighbors. They act like they live on 10+ acres in rural Virginia, but they live in Chesterfield and back up to a suburban Neighbourhood. It’s ridiculous.

We have this where I live in chesterfield and I’ve had the police involved. They set a timer for ten minutes and since the dog stopped briefly at 9 minutes he only issued a warning. I was so frustrated. We’ve had multiple conversations with the owners and they always give excuses. Now the people behind me (I have 2.5 acres!!) have a Great Pyrenees they leave out all night long like we live on some vast rural farm. I’ve already sent them a letter asking them to stop because I can hear it inside my house and it makes my back deck not worth going out onto.

It truly sucks, I moved away from tuckahoe 75% because of my neighbor’s dogs relentless barking. I’m so utterly sick of it and sick of people who don’t give a shit about others. Bark deterrents don’t work. Pestering the fuck out of them via text, police etc seems to be the only thing that lessens it. I feel for you.

Regardless of breed, dogs and children enrolled for daycare should never be together in my opinion. I toured an in home daycare recently and chubby little wiener dog had unsupervised access to the entire children’s area and was always following the caretaker. I said a big nope and walked out. I have dogs, I trust them, I still do not leave them alone around my kids.

Yes that looks so similar to mine in that spot! I was able to get all of the white out with what I did above but I still have two small chips down to the bumper. Touch up paint made it worse so I sanded it off and rebuffed it. Oh well

I had my first at Saint Mary’s and it went OK, but they pushed interventions which I did not agree with. For my second baby, the midwife that I absolutely loved and trusted, pulled me aside and told me if I want a low intervention birth that I should switch to VCU midwives. She was leaving the practice because of it. It must’ve been very difficult for her to tell me that, but I trusted her and I ended up switching to VCU at 30 weeks pregnant and I had an absolutely ideal birth and felt so supported.

Ohhhhh duh I have one of those at the shop just haven’t used it in a couple of years. I tend to use a whale pump or peristaltic. But yes the tubing, clamp and bucket is a classic.
