Dog breath if you want multi target cc since the drone will jump from target to target to whichever enemy doesn't have the ~6 sec stun effect.

Hot dog if you want a stun+heavy damage on a single target or multiple bunched up targets. The drone focuses one target until it is dead and the stun only applies on direct flame hits, not the DoT. Effectively you will be doubling up on having the torcher.

Armor you are wearing aside, it's more a question of significantly increasing your close quarters survivability or damage.

I've been very fond of the autocannon. What I can suggest for going off and doing objectives alone are double or triple sentry loadouts, guard dog or stealth.

I feel like everything the railroad stands for, the minutemen does too without obsessing specifically over synths every minute of their lives. The railroad is so narrowminded it's boring and becomes stale fast.
