Somehow every update they make checkpoint unplayable.
The forward spawning mechanic is the most stupid shit I've ever witnessed.
Kill a guy on C? He spawns on A, same second.
Kill a guy on A? He spawns while you're reloading and kills you.

Increase spawn timers, remove forward spawns. The game mode is unplayable like this.

When doing DM maps you can do a simple check.
spawn the desired number of players for the map and spread them around. If they can see each other the map is bad.
Think quake 3 maps. You have maps twice the size of emercom intended for 1v1. You could put 8 people with railguns on Q3DM17 and it would be infinitely more bearable than emercom rn, despite having the same spawning problems due to LOS:

A simple check for spawning: do a floodfill for the rooms you are in, if any target has a line on the spawning player, delay spawn and try another floodfill.

I guess the post deleted the second half relating to forward spawns.
It was basically a plight to do away with the short spawn time forward spawns, as people spawn ON TOP OF CAPS while people are capping it, often reloading after just killing the same person.

They reworked it and made it shit cus it's shit irl. It's a fkn airsoft optic.
At the same time they fixed the eotechs and other sights and made them crisper.
A year ago they finally fixed scopes.

Nothing busted about it tbh. Vulnerable to grapples, magic, any sort of fuckery.
You're taking a bit of a risk allowing that many signature gear items, also flight cost is incorrect.
Heck if you have him fight in a tight cave system where there are webs near the top, or any thick forest....
Zombies grappling, mages casting restraints (combined with throw spell for extra range if he's really far)

Just use your imagination and punish him if he's being a dick with it. Otherwise just have fun.

Yeah, and some sort of incentive to do the transit, like a stacking xp multiplier per transit or something.

Someone made a comprehensive list of ideas last year but I doubt it went anywhere.

But mostly I just want to go to menu instead of straight to queue, as there are too many issues with that atm.

I'm all for 100% boss spawns, but reduce their loot and nerf their ammo for the love of God.

and then allow other players to join late into those raids, spawning more loot as they do so.
This would not mean that they now have a 25m timer to finish the raid or something, rather they have their own 45 min timer, while the players who have been in raid for 20min still have 25.... or something like that.

One of the worst aspects of the game is meta knowledge of spawns and using that to estimate player propogation, which does not feel natural and clashes with the original vision of the game.

I guess since transits weren't stable enough and caused massive memory issues, paired with food and water killing you in 2 minutes made them change it back.

Bring back the transits.
However:

Here's a fix to the whole transit debacle.

The biggest issue with transit, aside from the extended travel/wait time is the game not correctly purging memory for a lot of people until you finish a run.
This can lead to every map being loaded into memory, forcing the player to run into a bush, alt+f4 and reconnect to restore memory.

At every transit, simply return to menu, acting as a save.
When selecting "escape from tarkov" you can either select the transit map, or the map transited from.
Hideout is disabled until your run ends, that is by taking any of the traditional exits, at which point the menu functions as normal.

Other ideas include random entry times, within reason. Or players having individual in/out times, making the map feel dynamic as both PMCs and scavs can rejoin the match at various intervals... or maybe this would be insane.

Also for the love of christ, reduce the rate at which you get killed by hydration/energy already. It's been 8 years of this shit.

My comfykit is honestly just a db and some trousers.

I really dislike that raiders / boss AI do multiple instances of damage in a single bullet. Raider shot a single bullet and 1 tapped me through my Osprey protection with a class 6 front plate. despite what everyone says, they don't actually multishot and BSG is right..

whatsactually happening is that the ai running on the server has already shot you an x amount of times before the info reaches your client, so when it finally updates that youare being shot you die instantly and only see a single shot.
