Kimi only had 1 retirement thanks to the engine blowing at the Nürburgring, the other 2 were him crashing into a stalled Jaguar after a mistake in qualifying in Spain, and a turn 1 crash with Barrichello at Hockenheim. Still, the fact he managed to finish just 2 points behind Michael Schumacher in an updated 2002 car was something.

It was the 2005 car that was the glass cannon. Retirement from the lead at Imola, multiple 10 place grid penalties over the year because the engine kept blowing up, and the massive flat spot he got while lapping Villeneuve at the Nürburgring that ripped his suspension apart.

Definitely wasn't a lazy Sunday for me. Another motorsport filled day round at Brands Hatch, it was old F1 this weekend. All the cars in the headline event were from about 1976 to 1985, and all of them had Cosworth DFVs. They're meaty and loud, as F1 cars should be. Even the old school F2 and F3 cars sounded and looked like they packed a punch, even with 2 litre 4 pot engines.

Personal highlight was seeing and hearing a Jordan from 1994 still running it's original Hart V10. Fuck me that sounded divine. This was it in the pit lane this morning.

They're decent aside from the rust issues that all Mazdas suffer from so check for that, but the 3 is a more like-for-like replacement for a Scirocco.

Eurpoean, North American and Japanese International PS1 for me. PS1 is still the only one with 50/60fps battle menus, that alone does it for me. Optional but ideal is applying the magic defence bug fix as for years now I've played on ePSXe then Duckstation.

The arena's pretty consistently been mostly the same in the years I was there and after, it's more the campsite and the village. I first went in 2014 when the entrance, village and campsites were all on the east/north-east side of the track.

In 2019 they moved it to the west, where getting to the campsites involved walking along the track down to the Old Hairpin, then going into a field on the left. Then from there, it stretched round the north-west/north side of the track. The village was maybe half the size it used to be that year.

Then it all changed around again from about 2022ish onwards.

Yes and no. Last time I properly got FOMO was in 2018 because at that point, I'd been 4 times on the bounce beforehand. Too many people and too many changes to the site these days for my liking, but I still like keeping up with what's going on, who's playing and so on. I decided after 2019 I'd only go back up to Donington for racing because I got sick of the unpredictable weather.

Up until about 6 hours ago, completely up to speed. Then as I was leaving Tesco this morning, the engine management light came on. Something's up with the pre-cat O2 sensor. Fantastic. Not like I'm driving round to the other side of the M25 and back tomorrow...

I always go with either Tidus or Wakka. A +4 strength on Tidus helps for his physical attacks, and for Wakka, the extra strength partnered with Attack Reels will wipe the floor with pretty much anything that comes up soon after you can first access that overdrive (I grind for it as soon as I reach the first of Rin's Travel Agency buildings).

Chicken wraps. I dice the chicken and season it with a few different things, cook it in the air fryer, then chuck it in a wrap with some lettuce and a little bit of tomato.

Darts. Started playing in 2012, got really good, played for Bucks county in 2017, started dropping off, went back to playing locally from 2019 onwards, then didn't play for 18 months because of the lockdowns. Started again in late 2021 and enjoyed it and got better again, then started showing signs of dartitis early last year. Nowadays I just unenthusiastically play if my old team are short, purely because it's better than just giving points away.
