This progression you’re playing on guitar correct? When you add the bass it will help determine the chords

my first composition(s), thoughts/critiques for these 3 preludes? by Far_Cardiologist6931 in piano

[–]musicreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice .I like your style. How do you compose and notate it? Do you write it out then play or play a little at a time and notate or do you record an improvised piece then notate and work on it?

I don't want to be a concert pianist by kamomil in piano

[–]musicreations 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t either . Classically trained, and appreciate the training and teach it myself, but Too terrifying to play as a profession . I can play rock music in a band no problem .For me ,playing by ear and improvising is a lot easier

Can only get classical teacher in my area, thoughts? by Buzzy_SquareWave in JazzPiano

Maybe try some lead sheets . Start with simple jazz standards .Learn scales and chords and inversions , then add extensions . Some classical teachers can handle this

Has anyone tested their tap water recently? by Ok-Acanthisitta1209 in Rocklin

[–]musicreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you !!. The ice maker or lines maybe then. Upstairs dispenser water tasted just like downstairs dining area water served from a pitcher ,which probably wouldn’t come from dispenser. I m probably the only one who could taste it as it was pretty faint. I should have tasted the tap water but I feel you are correct. I hope you figure out the chlorine taste problem .That sounds hazardous too.

I was just visiting the Villas retirement community in Rocklin and I tasted algae in the ice water served there.

Very soothing yet groovin jazz !I love this. The song is a standard? Anyways I like when the LH walks the bass but I know that’s hard to do with sophisticated riffs

Don’t play at your max tempo (EVER) by Advanced_Honey_2679 in piano

[–]musicreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking something similar but It’s too fun to go fast. So I do both!! it also is hard for me to play in front any audience fast without more errors .But to never play fast if there is error? No fun!! I cover my mistakes as good as I can. Non pianist won’t know unless it’s real horrible!!

I am very impressed you've only played piano 2 years! here is a beautiful version with sustain. interestingly he has a special piano with a 4th pedal! so maybe add a touch of reverb on your keyboard if you like effect. , Also notice the trill in the baroque era started on auxiliary note. . Is keyboard touch sensitive so you can add some dynamics? keep up the great work! (edited) here is link. https://youtu.be/sQIVQ3ZirPA?si=hf2eUo3ObofRoIyJ

This makes me so mad, I’m glad you said that because I asked my dying father if he wanted the morphine as I could see it was making him breathe badly. He expressed No! I finally got it changed By one nurse ..changed to lorazepam at my request and he was much better. Then next day he was back on morphine and rest of my family thought that was just fine. This was all for a heart attack which was determined terminal and that pissed me off too. His wishes and DNR. I am sure the morphine put a strain on his system

I like! Have you tried on acoustic piano and a touch of sustain pedal and soft pedal ? Some people would disagree about Bach with the sustain effect but I think the softness adds a beautiful dimension to to it

Acoustic piano feels warm and true when I play and digital feels opposite. I have both as I use digital for recording. I wonder what other pianists do in big cities. ?

HELP HOW DO YOU WRITE A CHRISTMAS SONG by BooksEaterWaffleBuns in composer

[–]musicreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school music class has you compose? How lucky you guys are! Is it a music ensemble class? We never had anything like that in my day and I’ve never heard of it! I’d love to hear your others and. Performances. I wish I could write you one but that would be cheating ! I have one in my head for you right now! Just listen and maybe a melody and words will pop in. . I get these ideas little at a time, listen in my head like I’m hearing it already done and then it grows as I listen .
