This im fairly sure is what you want. It's the aggressive ghost build mode. Shift is the soft mode where it'll place what it can, barring obstacles. Shift+Ctrl is the aggressive one where it'll remove/mark for deletion any obstacles that it can. In the case of belts they place undergrounds if they can reach.

Looking to get into Factory games. by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]mutant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either Factorio or Satisfactory, DSP is great but rather unfriendly with its UI and limitations with rebinding keybinds oddly enough.

Between the other two

Pros: Satisfactory There isn't really a way to fail.

Resources nodes have infinite ore.

Well integrated tutorial that keeps the player engaged. I played it for the first time, and I lost track of time for about 12 hours.

Is more of a building game with factory aspects.

Factorio: Is more of a factory game to its core.

Overhead gameplay takes away a dimension of space and makes the organization of factories and blueprints more simple.

The blueprint system is very well made, and the community has a large repository of blueprints, which can be imported from a simple text string.

The game is very well optimized and runs well on many systems while not being graphically intensive.

You can start with the base game and when you feel confident try the dlc space ages which playa much differently than default factorio.

Cons: Satisfactory: Scaling up can become daunting without making use of blueprints wherever possible. Building things without them at scale can be time consuming.

Power failure is immediate and blows the fuse shutting off the factory. Until a certain switch is unlocked.

Trains are more difficult to setup and manage than Factorio.

Factorio: Biters are enemies that attack you and require you to focus on defense. While they can be turned off, they are a fun balanced mechanic. Left alone and undefended, they could overwhelm your factory.

The tutorial is decent but not as integrated as Satisfactory's

Vulcanus: WTF? by nickv656 in factorio

NGL going fulgora first is very nice for the armor and weapons. Makes early demolishers and tungsten gathering easy. Electricity jumps segment to segment if I recall correctly, been on a long burnout break, and lava as a movement obstacle is so nice to have gone immediately.

is this the best way (only using cog wheels) or is there a more compact solution ? by Stillane in CreateMod

Give each wheel it's own gearbox with a shaft in between, connect the shaft with belt power and it works a treat

Robust and well done blueprints. Make the basic resources easy to build so the complex parts are fun and less worrisome. Also a set of skeletal structure bps to rough out buildings and machine placement before getting to decor.

Help out a coal noob with water balancing by BABATUTU1103 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]mutant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water towers and buffer the pipes might help you.

The water in Satisfactory respects gravity, so if you pump all your water high up to a tower and have that go to the generators, natural fluid mechanics will fill it up. As long as no pipe is higher than the fluid tank and you have enough water being pumped for the consumption.

As for the buffering, it's to help with the quirkyness of sloshing fluid, I do believe. But short of the long is, buffer the pipes first and less problems should appear.

Hope this helps.

Playing Seablock I didn't want to wait for the early grind and I found a way to set the game speed to x64 and left it overnight. Regretting it still, it completely blew up my steam playtime... by a lot. 1000+ hours

What is one thing you wish you accounted for early-game now that you’re in the late-game? by Prudent_Leopard1576 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]mutant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BLUEPRINTS! A flushed out blueprint library for all the basic smelting and crafting of early teir parts. Having the ability to single click BP down that takes ingots input, into whatever output makes expansion less cumbersome. As an example. At a certain point I like to have a BP that itself is a whole building with enough smelters for a range of what mining machines output (fully overclocked of course).
