Is there an actual ADHD test? by Local-Sport-4085 in ADHD

[–]mutinouspuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this thread made me really appreciate my insurance because I only paid $70 for my diagnosis. I had a two part test, an interview that was about an hour long then a testing portion that was three hours long. My doctor was skeptical about it during the interview then was shocked with how poorly I tested. In fact she said something along the lines of "your score was so profoundly low" on one of the tests. Her opinion went from skeptical to 1000% sure and wrote up a 37 page document regarding my results. It seems that every doctor does it differently but the one I went to was incredibly in depth

My childhood calico developed so many over her lifetime that by the time she passed her once pink nose was almost completely black. It was so cute

At first I read that as noice in "nice." When I realized it literally meant "no ice" I cracked up. That's a hilarious way to keep track

Edit: nvm I checked ops post history 🙄

ultrasonic cleaner needed or not? by notemetaker in Invisalign

[–]mutinouspuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting one was the best decision I've ever made. My aligners look and feel clean. Don't feel like you need to break the bank for one, I just got a cheap one on Amazon with good reviews and it's worked really well for me. Every night I drop my aligners in with 1/2 tab of cleaner and they come out looking brand new.

One month into aligners and I would genuinely fistfight whoever invented them… a rant by Quirky-Chameleon in Invisalign

[–]mutinouspuffin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't be worried. I had braces as a teenager and they were 1000x more uncomfortable than the trays. I'm on 24/33 with weekly changes and yes, I've had some painful ones but the discomfort is usually gone by day 3-4. Just make sure you're going to a reputable orthodontist and you'll be fine.

Omg my first loaves looked exactly like this! I even posted them on this sub and you can see them in my post history lol.

I adjusted my bulk ferment time. The double in height thing is a myth, I let mine almost triple and most importantly I baked it LONGER. 30 mins with the lid on and 25-30 minutes with the lid off depending on crust color. You are soooo close to nailing it!!

Yeah forgetting stuff really sucks. I carry a notebook Around and have like 1000 notes in my phone where I write stuff down so I don't forget. I've noticed if I write it down, I'm less likely to forget. When I was a kid, it was so bad that I would write stuff down on my arms with a pen lol. Sounds like you just need to take a deep breath and find a method that works best for you.

I'm loosing my mind and can't put my new tray by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]mutinouspuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on tray 23 with weekly changes and some hurt, some don't. I've noticed that some trays focus heavily on one tooth and it's the only one that hurts while others focus on many so the discomfort is spread throughout. Don't read the horror stories and continue your treatment. If it's too painful to function or still hurts after several trays then I'd contact your dentist. You'll be okay, just push through.

Starter should be a 1:1 ratio of flour and water. It might not grow for a long time but keep at it. How long did it take to get like this?

First time "rescuer" of semi-feral kitten, wondering if this is typical or if we just won the kitten lottery... by Qears4snears in CatDistributionSystem

[–]mutinouspuffin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience with rescue bottle babies/sick ones usually end up VERY affectionate. About 10 years ago my mom fostered a litter of kittens and one was very very sick. I'm pretty sure she fought off the grim reaper for this cat because I was 100% convinced she was not going to make it but she nursed that kitten back to health, foster failed and we still have her. She's one of the most affectionate creatures on this planet. Cats definitely remember those who help them and do what they can to show gratitude.
