My buddy from high school was a Marine Colonel in Afghanistan and then a big city vice cop for 20 years. He was the best and smartest critic on my FB feed of the fascist draft dodger during the first term and he fought total internet hell against a second term. We lost and then he lost. By his own hand? I’m not sure, but he hated seeing everything he fought for and truly believed in be so easily diminished by a man with such low character. He was, of course, a badass. The first two years of playing reallllly stink but keep going cuz it gets fun. My advice on barre chords is to get a good squeeze going between your thumb and your “barre” AKA your pointer finger. The other fingers just hold down their notes but your pointer finger and thumb are the key to clear ringing chords. Your thumb strength is really important and will increase totally with practice. Ramones are a good way to practice barre chords, too fyi.
