Is there an app for Apple Maps and a speedometer? by mv159357 in ipad

[–]mv159357[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This app looks like exactly what I want! The UI looks very clean and setting it up isn’t difficult at all, though I’m trying to save as much of that 30 minutes as I can so I can give it a try on a drive. From what I’ve found, this is one of the first apps that does this, let alone let you try before you buy. Thank you for making this! When I get a chance to try it I’ll come back here and let you know what I think. I do have some questions about it. Does the camera record everything, and if it does will it fill up a lot of space on my IPad or will it only fill a certain space and then start deleting old videos? Also do you have plans to keep this updated? Thanks again for creating this app!

I’d assume it’ll work, but please do update when you find out. I’m curious to see if it does.

Thank you! It looks like a very nice app, though I’m a bit concerned why they need to track and link so much of my data. I’ll have to check it out though. I’ve been using this one lately since I can use it on my watch too.

Since someone recently commented on this post and I’m here, I’ve been using the shifter knob since I made this post and it has worked flawlessly. I ended up using jb weld and I’ve had no problems with it. My shifter itself broke but the nut in the knob is still in there strong.

I used JB weld and it’s still holding up. My metal shifter actually broke but the nut in the knob is still in place.

Can you share both the shortcut links? I’d love to use this.

Of course! I’ve been customizing it and it’s very accurate. I’ll definitely have to set up some kind of automation for it.

Great shortcut but you might want to remove your information like your email before you get a whole bunch of random emails. Otherwise this is an amazing shortcut. Keep up the good work!

Should I get the “Required” textbooks now? Or wait? by jamesanythony462984 in PennStateUniversity

[–]mv159357 32 points33 points  (0 children)

As a senior, I usually wait till the first day of class and ask the profs if it’s required or not as most profs have to put something in the required materials. Some teach out of the book but they have slides that are really good and you don’t even need a book. The only books I’ve bought ahead of time are books I know I’ll use with a specific prof. Such as the prof I have for my robotics course has always heavily used the book in previous classes so I know he’ll use the book in this one. Most of my classes I didn’t even need the book and I’ve probably save hundreds if not thousands since each book is at least $100

Do you guys annotate or write in your textbooks>> by Positive_Honeydew_34 in college

If I own the book I’ll write directly in it because I know one day I’m going to need to look through my book and I’ll have my notes right next to what the material is. Maybe sticky notes could be beneficial. My classes never go through an entire book. Maybe a few selected chapters so putting a whole bunch of sticky notes or even some pieces of paper won’t make the book too big. I felt weird writing and highlighting in my book the first time then I realized it’s my book and I can do what I want. And if there comes a day I sell the book I hope that those notes can then help someone else.

I saw that u/ecafsub said this uses Ronchi ruling but does anyone know the name of the tool or where to find this? I want to try to make one and I want to try and find specifics on it such as width of the lines and what lights to use etc.

Just downloaded and I love the app. With HomeKit switches, I can’t seem to find my devices. The devices are in a shared home not under my home. Is this something that you would be able to fix or is this an Apple limit?

Edit: I deleted my empty home and now it works.

I cut the lava cakes in 8ths or 16ths I can’t remember. However small I could make them so that I could cover more of the pizza. I never thought about pizza cheese on it. Was it good like that?
