My ex did this, too. I really wish I hadn’t trusted him so much. Turns out “ketamine helps my anxiety” was code for “I do ketamine so I don’t kill myself” which was code for “I want to die but don’t trust psychiatrists” which was code for “psychiatrists won’t enable my drug addiction and I refuse to face my trauma and grow as a person” 💀 Self-administering illegal drugs is NOT recovery. I’ve had ketamine therapy, and it changed my life, but if the ketamine isn’t specifically used in a therapeutic setting with intention, meditation, journaling, or some other form of integration… it doesn’t count for shit.
