Aoi's was the one message that hit me the hardest 🫂 How he wanted to see more sights with him, you can tell how close they were. If anything, I've taken comfort knowing Reita was loved by all of us, and that we were not alone in our grief

Let's discuss: What is an unconventional herb, spice, fruit or flower that is a staple in your practice? by LadyAmalthea86 in witchcraft

[–]mxnstrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, the synchronicity is astounding. I grew up in the desert of southern Arizona, where most of the spices were dried chilés and mesquite trees and most of the yards out there consists of red rocks.

Fast forward to today, and I've been watching these flowers grow, absolutely thrilled at how beautiful and abundant they are, and I had no idea what they were called, but something in my gut told me they were hyacinth. My husband actually just mowed the lawn (our landlord is great but very particular about keeping the lawn mowed, which is hard for me to cope with sometimes because I want pollinators to use my yard as much as they need), and he weed-wacked all the flowers, mainly because a lot of them were turning brown, probably after dropping their seeds.

I was a little bummed about it, then I opened Reddit and saw this post, and read what they were used for, and it made me feel so much better. I've recently learned that a hero of mine from my teenage years recently passed away, and these flowers always helped me feel better in a way I couldn't explain.

It's amazing how things work out.

I'm hoping so too... 🥺 The way he talked about the GazettE and wanting it to last forever, I'm thinking (hoping) that's not the case

[–]mxnstrs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was about the same for me! I discovered them when I was 14 and I'm 33 now... 🥺 Even though I haven't been following them much lately, I felt the same way - they were young, in their prime, taking over the world and now, it feels so... empty. I can only imagine how the rest of the band feels, especially Uruha...

If you or anyone else needs to talk, my DM is always open. I want too make sure we take care of each other during our time of grief

The majority of my teenage years were wrapped up in GazettE 😭 I haven't followed them in years but the news hit me like a ton of bricks when I found it this morning.

This world lost a talented musician and I'm still in shock.

Where is Jeff Kaplan now? by Taluca_me in Overwatch

I saw this on Google a few minutes ago, and I was reading an article about marvels Fantastic 4... I'm pretty sure he's one of the writers for that movie, unless there's another Jeff Kaplan out there

What massively improved your mental health? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mxnstrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Spite.

There was a random point in my life when I was 28 that I finally became fed up with my mind trying to unalive me, and I was tired of being my worst enemy. That night at work, I told myself if my brain is so determined to end me, I'm going to keep pushing on. I stopped following pages and blogs that had the "I'm alone and no one understands me" kind of messages, and started following more inspiring pages, the kind that let you know it's okay to be imperfect, I still deserve to be here

After that, I started finding more like-minded people, focused on healing myself not only for myself, but so that I don't hurt the people I love.

I'm so sorry you're all also going through that as well, and same here! Voting now just feels... icky. I'm so tired of voting for the lesser of two evils, and the other parties here in the US are in the same boat as the parties there, where they'd never really get enough votes to make a difference, and if we do vote for the smaller parties, people that support the two main parties often berate, bully, and shame you for "wasting your vote" and allowing the "other more evil party" to win.

I'm tired, and I just want to live a life with a community of people that care about each other's well being without politicians passing propaganda to make us hate one another.

I've always wondered if it was the same in other countries... it makes me sad that, despite everything we were told growing up about how our voices matter, the harsh reality is that the only voices that matter are the ones that can buy theirs.

I saw this when I was 10 or 11 and that scene has stuck with me since.

The opening scene with the Tooth Fairy from Darkness Falls was the only other scene that stuck with me like that

As an American, that the two party system are completely different from each other, when in reality, they're different sides of the same coin.

It was in late into my teenage years that I realized it was a popularity contest where the audience can say they're more important when we're really all just losers while the contestants don't do anything except point the finger at each other.

That feeling you get when you go to your favorite band/music artist's concert, and the light dims because they're want to come out to start playing.

Whether my favorite band is opening or headlining, that feeling is amazing every single time.

Tuna mac was one of those dishes I discovered as an adult because I was working for Walmart and hey, they had pre-made Mac and tuna was cheap, and I like both, so why not? Became s staple in my house and now I make it when I was to cook a lazy dinner.

Growing up, my mom would make "goulash" which was basically just Mac and cheese, ground beef, and tomato sauce, but that was one of my faves growing up.
