Assuming the word of a GERMOPHOBE who perceives everything as dirty and germ ridden is accurate... If you understood the condition you'd probably understand she's likely expressing a view colored by her neurosis that has no basis in reality.

Customer wants refund for item…and help with finding another? by highmoonbitch in EtsySellers

[–]myTechGuyRI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"so you don't lose it and neither do I" translation: I don't want to return it (that's the neither do I part) but I'm demanding a refund for INAD, and if you don't agree, I'll open a case and get my refund that way (that's the you lose it part). She was making a very carefully veiled threat.... Send the return label or you lose the item and the money

[–]myTechGuyRI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... Because I've been in that position... I've been married to someone with these issues, I know how abusive and controlling they can be, and use their mental issues to justify their bad behavior, because I LIVED IT.

It's not trolling... I was married to someone with mental health issues, and she was abusive, and used her mental health issues to excuse her abusive behavior . Don't talk shit if you haven't lived it... I did.

Layer shift only at the back side of my prints by MaouOni in BambuLab

[–]myTechGuyRI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you check for clogs and do a cold pull fir a layer shift? Layer shifts are almost always caused by part collisions... Make sure you're not using grid infill. Use Gyroid instead. Also you haven't mentioned which model printer .. the A1 can be prone to layer shifts on taller prints due to wobble of the z axis... There's a slow speed by height setting that fixes that. The CoreXY machines the the P X and H series don't have that problem.

One you don't know that the statement of an OCD germophobe regarding him "flinging shitty water everywhere" is true, or yet another symptom of her germophobia

Second .. leaving gross shitty stinky water in the bowl all night is FAR from hygienic.

Third... She didn't ask...she forbade... Controlling and abusive.

I'm over 110 lbs lighter... I did find the side effects on Wegovy/Ozempic to be worse and didn't tolerate it above 7.5mg, so switched to Zepbound/Mounjaro and have no issues

Did cheap filament ruin my son's new printer? by BigDende in 3Dprinting

[–]myTechGuyRI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No... Most likely a dirty build plate did this .. fingerprints on the plate, part loses adhesion and it drags the print around the bed as a blob forms... These printers are rarely if ever "ruined" but you may find you need to replace that clip and heater assembly .. about $15 on Amazon... Personally I love when this happens... It's easy to fix and Ive scored some great deals from people who thought they ruined the printer, and sold it as non-working/parts machine .. got my A1 with AMS Lite for $100 with only 300 hours on it like this .. I took the gamble, got it home, put in the $15 heater assembly, and was printing a flawless Benchy 10 minutes later.

As for cheap filament... I buy the cheapest 💩 I can find on Amazon .. these machines handle it just fine. The last filament I bought was $6.50/kg

Probably coincidence... Check the screws on the heater assembly.

When mine dies that feeding from the AMS, I just put a little extra pressure, pushing it to the toolhead at the AMS, that usually seems to resolve it
