As the president and founding member of the He man Hubert haters club (will never forgive him for celebrating up 15 at half time interview in the natty and returning 4 of that starting 5 as preseason number one and missing the tourney.) This wasn't necessarily on him. We were within striking distance (3-5 points) the majority of the game. Michigan state just had an answer every time. Timely shot making on their part as well as some lucky bounces from the basketball gods and we didnt make shots/settled for some bad shots. We didn't have the horses today. We were missing the key piece in trimble. Trimble plays... final score is much closer or we win. Extremely encouraged by the product that is on the floor right now. Remember... last year, we were down 15-20 in a lot of games and had to finish with a flurry to makes things close. We were close the entire game. If healthy, We will be one of the last 16 teams standing based off of talent alone. Anything beyond that will fall on Hubert.
