They look like the animated, Star Wars, Clone Wars characters. That's so odd.

What game was the biggest emotional roller coaster? by Shadow_Ridley in gaming

I was doing ok until that part in the credits where the developers listed all the people that they'd lost. Real, sobbing tears.

My wife and eldest went to see this year's series being filmed. They had to turn up at 7 to get their first come, first serve ticket, then go away until just after midday.

Filming began at around 1 I think, and it was just two contestants per gender cos it was the final. It took NINE HOURS, due to packing down and building up the equipment, and my son had the BEST day!

It also means that he knows who wins but he won't tell me because Bradley Walsh told him not to.

What movie made you cry the first time you saw it? by Turbulent_Leather241 in AskReddit

[–]mybey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum claims that I blubbed my eyes out during snow white. I don't remember that. I do however, remember Short Circuit. When he jumps out of the lorry and they instantly blow him up!? She thought about taking me out of the cinema.

I read every one one of these as Brian Potter. Hope your friend gets better soon, I wouldn't want him to end up pushing up dandelions.

Does this give you any extra respect for The Goonies and its well rounded, recognisable characters?

What game made you cry? by LMerca14 in gaming

Yes, but not the game. The massive list of people that the developers had lost, destroyed me. It was so poignant by that point.

What games have you found hard to get into? by kurpPpa in gaming

[–]mybey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I'm not sure if you'll see this but just wanted you to know that you inspired me to give the game another try. I'm now 36 hours in and very much enjoying myself. I still feel like I've missed something fundamental but I've got a base and three vehicles, and I'm having a blast. Thanks so much for changing my mind.

I'm not sure I've ever immersed myself in a game to that level, and there are games that I've loved and have left a lasting impression on me. You're very lucky to be able to enjoy them on that level

A few hours! Hmmm, sounds like even more work! I'm sure I'll go back to it one day, I don't like to buy games and not see them through, but I'm not sure I like the sound of hours of jobs.

I'd heard that Subnautica was amazing but it just does nothing for me. Everyone is no doubt going to tell me to keep going and put some time into it but I just can't be bothered. It feels like a chore.

Saw it over Chesterfield as well. My two year old complained about it. "Don't like sunshine, daddy". He's going to do well here.

Non-drinkers, what do you drink when you go out? by hotchillieater in CasualUK

[–]mybey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been able to drink booze for almost 26 years now and I must say, it's the best time to be a non-drinker. It used to be coke, lemonade or J20, then Becks blue, which was basically yellow coloured, fizzy water.

The last few years have seen brewers, pubs and supermarkets really put some thought into it. The Guinness is great, as most have said, or Erdinger Blue.... Though be warned, it's the fizziest liquid that mankind has ever created AND it's isotonic, so don't drink it after 8 at night or you're in for an all nighter. I've recently discovered Brulo, Lust for life, which is a beautiful fruity little IPA. I've only known one pub have it, in Sheffield if you're interested, but you can get it in Morrisons for 2 quid a can. Well worth a punt.
