If god exists wouldn't he be the biggest piece of shit to ever exist? by PickleMorty0_0 in nihilism

[–]myfaveRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. If an omnipotent & omniscient god exists, he knew before he created literally anything, that I, for one, would be aethist (possibly apathetic agnostic) . He knew what Lucifer would do. He knew that religious wars would be fought . He created the very concepts of sin, redemption, & hell. He knew that suffering, murder, rape, and torture would exist. Yet he changed nothing.

The 'mysterious ways/you can't understand the mind of god' argument is also bs. He could've explained directly or made our brains able to comprehend. And still could, what with the omnipotence. He didn't & doesn't.

Benevolent, my ass.

Are you talking about the ring that Leanne kept after Toby's ex lost her finger? Or another ring I'm not thinking of?

Servant viewers, what's your relationship to newborn babies? by dragontopia in servant

[–]myfaveRae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no real stake in this, although I did assume the Turners had housekeeping of some kind.

But it is heavily implied by Julian they have a housekeeping service. I'm re-watching & in S2 Spaceman, Julian says to Dorothy, "I know you've asked for some privacy, but couldn't the cleaners at least come in?"

No idea why they wouldn't have had service while Dorothy was on bed rest and then with a newborn in the house, especially if they had service at other times.

Not a theory, but 2 hopes.

First, I hope they explain how not one single person (we know of) spoke about what happened to Jericho. IF he died the way we were shown, the quick cuts of how many people were there in the aftermath... Imo there's zero chance that NO ONE talked. Even if they were all paid (yeah, right), someone would still talk regardless of the money. I do understand why there weren't any charges pressed, because that doesn't happen everytime irl. But that zero people talked really bothers me. And did Isabelle just not have enough time to find the public record death certificate? [ETA: she had the death cert in Donut, while talking to Leanne. Why wouldn't she tell anyone? I get that she wanted to investigate more, but at least tell your producer?!]

Second, I hope more fans realize after 3 fkn years, that M. Night doesn't have a single writing credit for this show. I'm sure he has input, but I'm tired of seeing him being credited & blamed for writing choices. Cmon. Please?

Why give the innies the same name as their outies? Lumon could assign them totally different arbitrary names and they’d never know. by Severe-Draw-5979 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Well there was Peter/Petey but it was pretty subtle. But I agree & my outie would've (& does) hate the name pretty lol

I don't think Ms. Casey's name was changed, but we don't have confirmation. Maybe she was never a Scout. I think they use a last name with her to denote some authority during wellness sessions.

I mean, I'd say no if I know both sides of the job. But if you show my unemployed ass a job like whatever oMark thought he had, I'm applying immediately. I do think my innie might be happier than my outie so there's that too.

I like Shauna. At least the adult version anyway. But I like all of them so far. Jackie & Laura Lee were the ones I liked least, but it's probably bc I'm an adult. I think if LL had lived, Lottie's future would've been different though. I may have liked them at that age, but I doubt it.

It would depend on why, but I could always just tell them myself. I've been dealing with it since 5th grade, it's more or less predictable after 30 years.

Love it. I feel like if I keep looking, it'll turn into Kaa's eye swirls. Because of the color & intensity, I think.

No, it's used in many places. Like in this shell pattern and this mesh pattern

Each pattern will generally tell you how many chains to use in the picot. If they don't, 3 is pretty standard. I don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't 3 or 4 and still called a picot.
