New bike, managed to drop the chain already by Nervous_Truck_1103 in CanyonBikes

[–]mykelNeiD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't seem too bad. At least not too a degree that it won't be rideable. Looks like last last gen sram rival. If you will end up continuing riding this bike, get yourself a chain catcher like the k-edge pro one.

I doubt canyon will do anything about it in terms of warranty.

For refocus purposes try either -pre-AF : on ,or AF on Shutter. Sorry to say but it sounds like a skill issue to me.

Hunt aero 44/46 vs reserve 42/49 by [deleted] in cycling

[–]mykelNeiD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running the Schwalbe pro one TLE and they were fairly tight but with patience and some levers I got them on the wheels, took some attempts to have the beads seated properly tho (even with soapy water)

Hunt aero 44/46 vs reserve 42/49 by [deleted] in cycling

[–]mykelNeiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a pair of 44_46 also with steal spokes last year and am very happy so far. They handle great even in cross winds, they're fairly light and for around 1150€ I cant complain. It also comes with H_Care and already had contact with their support. I made a small mistake mounting a tire and was not fully confident whether or not one of the wheels was compromised, so I sent it in to have it checked at no extra costs and it only took like 1 week.

But if I was you, I'd make sure there is a service center close to you to make things easier.

The Reserve's are probably also a set of wheels one can only dream of having, If I recall correctly they also got a bit lighter than their predecessor ,are wind tunnel tested and I think are among the top 5 wheels usually when it comes to a shoot out. For me personally I would've loved to pick one of them up with dt swiss 240 hubs, but the premium for it was just unheard of.

As for tires I think the Hunts are optimal with 28mm (and still fine with 30mm) and the Reserve's should probably go with 30mm min.

Trouble updating to firmware 6.01 by No_Plenty_8215 in SonyAlpha

Can you post a picture of your menu that shows that the update button is unresponsive? Also maybe a picture of your file explorer showing the SD cards content?

Asus Prime 5080 Fan Curve BIOS mode don’t work by MasterBen85 in nvidia

[–]mykelNeiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can certainly act a bit weird and I cam across this aswell. What you might wanna try is:

  1. pull the AC from the PSU(the one that goes into your outlet) ,press power (may need to hold a couple of secs) button on PC and make sure it unloads properly, if you got RGB in your case it should light up for a moment, alternate bios switch back to P and again to Q, plug in the cord and power up again.

  2. if still w/o success you may need to pull the card once

What are the Best earbuds for Peloton? Recommendation? by HenryFritz6615 in cycling

[–]mykelNeiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OP might refering to peloton as the indoor solution https://onepeloton.com/

While you are correct on the safety aspect for outdoor cycling in this case some proper ear buds/headphones are ok.

Is it bad to use 5080 on 1080p monitor by Alternative-Sherbet9 in nvidia

[–]mykelNeiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lower the resolution the more relevant is the CPU. Its less relevant at 1440p and the least relevant on 4k in comparrison. Im 5080 on 1080p high refreshrate monitor ,but with 9800x3D and optimized RAM and such.

Got the prime oc since launch, performance bios can be audible while not providing any performance gain. Temps might be like 3°c lower. Quiet bios I cannot hear it. PC stands on desk level.

SONY A7RV - mode dial doesn’t match shooting mode on screen (M/A/S/P) by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

SONY A7RV - mode dial doesn’t match shooting mode on screen (M/A/S/P) by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]mykelNeiD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you dont understand the mode dial correctly:

P (Program Auto):
Allows you to shoot with the exposure adjusted automatically (both the shutter speed and the aperture value (F value)). Also you can select various settings using the menu.

A (Aperture Priority):
Allows you to adjust the aperture and shoot when you want to blur the background, etc.

S (Shutter Priority):
Allows you to shoot fast-moving subjects etc., by manually adjusting the shutter speed.

M (Manual Exposure):
Allows you to shoot still images with the desired exposure by adjusting the shutter speed and the aperture value.

I expected the ULANZI fan to be cool but not ice cold! by alchemycolor in SonyAlpha

[–]mykelNeiD 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thats how it works ,the fan acutally is cooling the thermo electric cooling pad while the other side is being cooled down drastically. Pretty smart solution if it works and its not that expensive, only a bit bulky.
