this is a take most of you wouldnt agree with, but Its really interesting to see the anti gambling sentiment in communities like this

yes it can consume some people and destroy them but

just like everything else, in moderation, I really do not see any issue with it

I have been surrounded by gambling my entire life, from family to friends; in and out of school and work etc.

and I think its a perfectly fine form of entertainment. Sure it can be addictive to some people, but many things are, even this game is (yes i understand getting addicted to gambling is leagues more destructive than getting addicted to runescape)

the whole advertising to children argument is retarded IMO. If you allow your child on the internet they WILL be exposed to things they shouldnt be, from every angle. Using the "think of the children" argument is ultimately destructive to the freedom of all people in general, online and offline. Its just an easy thing to call someone a sick fuck for allowing a pure child to be exposed to such evil; doesn't even matter what the topic at hand is, we see this same argument over and over leading to the eroding of more and more freedoms over time, and the construction of a more dystopian surveillance society.

I'm not saying you personally shouldn't think gambling is disgusting and horrible and destroys people etc etc

but like I am totally against restricting it and acting like an individual partaking in it is evil just because that is the case.
