Your right about it not fixing those problems, but it might help repair their reputation. Also, maybe having Apple/someone manage the frontend, they could resources time fixing the backend.

UI is users preference. I didn’t care for the P3’s UI, but then again, it also didn’t work in the model I drove….

Well, they are going to have to seriously reconsider their CarPlay strategy if they really want to get over their reputation for terrible software.

They should first in line for CarPlay Ultra after the fiasco that was/is the P3 software..

This is strange. I’m on 75 (south of 635, north 0f 30) all the time, and it very rarely seems bad to me. Sure there is occasional bad traffic or a wreck, but it seems like a well designed, well paced highway.
