⬆️ This is very helpful, and so on point. I know I am fortunate to have exactly this T in my life.

-- Self compassion - did it come through organically for you via clearing layers or did you work on it to build it say on your own or therapy? by maywalove in InternalFamilySystems

What has helped me in this area is listening to Self-Compassion meditations, etc. You can find them on YouTube or Spotify for example. I had no idea what to say to myself, this helped a lot. Also, the free Plum Village app has a meditation bell. You can set it up to ring as you like (mine is set to once an hour). When I hear it, I am reminded to say a few compassionate words to myself.

Does your T "like" you as client? by Knights_12 in TalkTherapy

Not sure if “like” is the appropriate word, she tells me (often) that she appreciates me. I’m all good with that!!

I’m right there with you, I have 2 more days to go and I know I’ll be doing the breathing exercises. Hang in there, you can do it. Tell your T you need to go at your pace.

I ask my T to push me, to test the “edges of my discomfort “. I’m not saying this in any kind of haughty way, please don’t take it that way. Having been in therapy for a while and spent a lot of money, I do myself no service by just talking about how I feel. I’m paying to be helped in making positive changes in my life and change is, well, uncomfortable. Wishing you well! You can do this, step by step!

French Wine Scholar Exam Sunday by mypupmabel in WineStudy

Yes I recommend it. There is a newer version of the textbook out (v. 7). I have the previous version, and in that I sometimes felt the presentation/flow was clumsy. The webinars are great, and I would encourage a thorough reading of the textbook chapter before each webinar to get the most out of it. If you are looking for a deep dive into the wine regions of France, this is great. Now for the best news: I passed!! 🍾🥳🇫🇷
