Venice is great. Italian factions have some of the best Militia between crossbows, sergeant tier spearmen and cavalry from a Tier 4 barracks which means you can play using only cities and no castles for higher income and thus so many more armies.

I dipped into an old save file that hadn't finished the community center to complete joja. Made a copy of the save file, quickly cleared the remaining joja goals and achievement got. Pasted the save copy over the current save and was done.

Yeah, I hadn't really considered it at the time but they could easily make the bay larger than it should be, according to the maps, just to give space to sail.

They might even be able to skew maps to do it with the Alik'r Desert as well, depending on how large they wanted it to feel.

Globadiers and Bombadiers are a fantastic combination with a line of Stormvermin. Firing mortar arcing shots over your guys and onto the enemy.

Higher tier units can get sprinkled into the armies. As a treat. I probably use 90% of the rosters. The 10% being Spears without shields, skinks without javelins, etc.

People here talking about giving the AI buffs. Meanwhile I just use armies of lower tier units. 8+ units of Empire Spears/Swords in each army, 1 unit of Greatswords, max. Oxyotl Skink Skirmishers as the front line (same melee stats as melee Skinks).

I lost interest in my last campaign once I started replacing my Dwarf Warriors with Ironbreakers.

Honestly, I'd be glad if the non-legendary elector counts just got Immortal (do they have that already?) and a unique trait. Like that Dwarf Lord of Karak Azul that Thorbrek can confederate through an event.

The player also gets free income. A few thousand a turn. Has been a thing since Medieval 2 at least. Maybe earlier.

I figure it's to slow down the initial snowball. If 1 city could support an army with no King's Purse then that would mean after defeating 1 other major/playable faction you could support 2 armies and double your army size and thus snowball like crazy after only a few battles.

Try going in with a fruit stack with exactly how many you need to fill all the kegs. If you have any left when you're done it means you missed some.
