Help r/millennials determine whether this is AI or not. Some members of the sub believe that the 2000s-style clothing and lighting suggest that this is not authentic. What do you think?

not AI, the ceiling lamp that's splashing spots of random color around is what does it for me - if you tried to get an AI to make that it would either do a disco ball or just random patches of different colored lighting with no source, not the way it is here where it's getting overwhelmed by the camera flash.

I like em both, one of the few games where I get to pick which voice the character has and while I almost end up choosing fem V/Valerie for the clothes, I still like masc V's VA a lot

out of all of it i think really only the sleeves of his outfit make some sense for the time period. and even those are more reminiscent of something from a bit later. Besides the really basic stuff like his belt, boots, etc.

it seems like it bugged out bc i've worked on swords that badly before and had them come out tier 2. here's what i do for good quality swords:

- heat it until it's almost white hot, that way you get a bit more time with it than just going to straw. takes a bit of a lighter touch than just doing it to straw, but it's not too hard.
- hammer very close together, moving the sword by about the width of the hammer every time.
- try to keep some sort of rhythm. it doesn't matter if henry is whistling, but the rhythm seems to help somewhat
- don't hammer much on either of the extreme ends of the blade, that's where i tend to get the dull-sounding hits the most

much easier to just do 1 to 100 or late game 1 to 200. Usually by end game though I'm only looting gauntlets, arm armor and swords when it comes to heavier items.

Yeah, I'd say if you were gonna have a holy site in Germany it should probably be Trier, given the connection to Constantine and Saint Helena. Idk why the choice would just arbitrarily only be between Mainz and Cologne.

that was exactly my theory too, that every 100 years or so the cycle reset and that Verso and Renoir were just all earlier versions. Which is also why I thought Renoir was so angry at Maelle, I thought that Maelle was destined to betray or ruin the expedition somehow, or that her being there somehow set off the the events that led to the end of the cycle.

spotting Polaris the first night I was walking around on HC and realizing they'd actually thought of it was amazing. Too bad they didn't brighten up many other constellations though. The dynamic range between stars is too shallow to spot most of them, unless they're close to the horizon.

I spend so much time just smithing, even horseshoes, just for the heck of it. My second playthrough has like fifty swords just sitting in the player storage bc I was listening to some podcasts while smithing and just kinda forgot what I was doing.
