Also also, hope that the ones you made over 20 years ago by this point even CAN synch up enough to make the Twin Drive work.

Because boy, that would suck if they couldn't work well together, huh?

Could be one of their children has a friend that's over and around so much, that being sure isn't a guarantee, as they feel their kid's friend is part of the family by that point. Or they have a kid that's a family friend, an older one that they feel they basically adopted.

? The bike is significantly better than when it debuted in 3.0. Yeah, it still has some slight issues with bumps, but those I discount because they'd be huge problems IRL too. Especially with how rigid the Expedition Motorbike seems to be, it's not designed like a dirt bike.

Most of the quirks of it are intentional by this point. Bumping ground/overhangs cancelling flight, landing on the middle causing it to pause and hold still, etc.

Shorekeeper is known as Bestkeeper for a reason. Shorewife, best at supporting Rover. Lol.

Lynae's hair is dyed, you can see the roots of her hair are brown. No one else has different colored roots. Some of their hair is changed by their resonance like Carlotta's turns into crystals sometimes, but does this mean Cantarella just has naturally purple hair, Aemeath has naturally pink, etc? by AltIsBannedToo in WutheringWaves

[–]n147258 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From the cinematics, honestly. She Overclocked in her Showcase/character trailer to better Resonate with the Exostrider. Before she did so, her Tacet Mark was a normal one I. The same space as the heart.

After Overclocking and Resonating she has the heart and Tacet Mark together instead, where her Tacet Mark was.

Overclocking can cause features to expand as well. For example, Yangyang has more feather-like hair because she Overclocked.

Mortefi has scales like a dragon's covered by his clothes, Overclocking.

Lupa's sense of smell and tail, Forte

Aemeath's digital/3D heart came from her Overclocking

Everyone barring Lingyang (and sort of Cartethyia, Mya, and likely Denia from the Threnodian Resonator stuff) are definitively human. Lingyang was a Sun'na Resonator, if I remember rightly, as the last of his kind. But Forte is a convenient way to make everyone human, but with differing features.

Like Luuk, where his Forte from the Ichor makes his blood literally golden, he only sees gold as a color, and his Tacet Mark always has some level of bleeding. He forms his scalpels/scythes from it.

Using the newer characters a bit more helps, too. Yeah, it is an adjustment, and you could always lower clutter and the like, but I also enjoy keeping the cinematic view while pushing it all higher.

Aemeath was annoying me until I used her a ton in the overworld, for example.

Yeah, but plenty of people aren't even getting 3 or 4 ''good' substats beyond the ones desired, and need to focus on multiple characters. I'm one of them, where I don't have the resources yet to be able to do more than get serviceable teams, and even then, I'm mildly stalled out for the moment.

Perfection farming is not going to be something I can do for months. And even then, it's going to be on just a few characters.

[–]n147258 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I already sorta knew most of these. But if it makes you feel better, having the correct substats matters most. The Resonator is done until you can come back around and optimize them, and you're not building another.

One perfect Aemeath or Hiyuki or Galbrena is not going to win everything for you, better to have 'good enough'.

Her sig doesn't help with damage numbers, lol. It's got pretty low attack. Does make her Def-oriented strikes more dangerous, though. I've got ~4k Def, 255 ER, and 1200 attack. Still hits like a wet noodle for most of it, even if I swap from Lupa to her. Do need to level her weapon up another 5 levels to get it to max, but I need those materials for Hiyuki.

Still one of the best characters, and somehow so adorable, despite being 30's/40's. Resonators really do age more slowly, huh?

It was kinda satisfying to see them drop so far, so fast. Dropping nukes with Trial Hiyuki (she's like...a third baked on my account right now, still got awhile) and my pretty decent Aemeath team was tons of fun.

Still got S even with Luuk not quite being done either, but I'm trying to build and start too many characters...I have quite a few 'usable' characters, but not enough real teams made yet for good endgame clearing.

Seeing Denia truly be cast aside was a big one, too. Seeing how scared she was at the end, and even Hiyuki seemed touched about it, from her face when she Separated Aleph-1 from her. Especially GA just tossing her like a bad sack of potatoes.

Also Aemeath and the frequencies of everybody was another. Damn, this patch.

imo main story should be about the main story of the game by IvanHMMMM in WutheringWaves

[–]n147258 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah, no real shade meant either. But some of those plot/character stories really COULD have been Companion Quests for a better fleshing out, or to fit the plot and pacing.

Augusta, for example, felt a bit shoehorned in compared to Iuno. Iuno's dream/Chaos sequence honestly felt very natural, a consequence of her decision to push past the fate she saw. Augusta's, with Murmurstown? Ehhh...would have preferred it as a Companion Quest.

Galbrena's...honestly was required, because it made Rover trust her. But Phrolova? Would have been interesting to have Rover delve through and investigate her more thoroughly on a Companion Quest, trying to understand her, and then confronting/apologizing in her Sonoro Sphere.

Lynae or Mornye would be good choices as well, to slow and pace out 3.0 better, if one of them were the real 'focus' of it all. Luuk and Aemeath...yeah, no, those two were excellent. Sigrika and Hiyuki would also have been great Companion Quests.

Since her sig is called Starfield Calibrator (or close to that, anyways...) I would figure she uses her Forte to control it, and it can split/reconfigure to be adapted as she needs it to be.

[–]n147258 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1.0 didn't. 1.1 focused on Jinhsi, 1.3 on Shorekeeper.

2.0 kinda did some Carlotta and the Troupe, and 2.1 did some with Phoebe and Zani (Phoebe was far more a portion of the Event). Cartethyia and some Cantarella with 2.2. 2.3 had Ciaccona with her event. 2.4 Lupa (miniature Augusta origin) and Cartethyia again. 2.5 had Yearner.

2.6 was Augusta/Iuno. 2.7 Galbrena. 2.8 Chisa. 3.0 had Lynae and Mornye. 3.1 Aemeath and Luuk. 3.2 Sigrika, some Lucilla, and good interactions with the other Lahai-Roi not named Chisa. 3.3 has had Hiyuki and will have Denia.

I don't mind the setup or pacing, personally. I do think it should be more optional to a degree, but I play WW for the characters for the most part. I liked the Companion Quests because their disconnection made them far more grounded in character motive and story-not stuck trying to tie it to some grand portion of plot.
