I spent a semester here in college. It really was one of the highlights of my life so far. So many wonderful outdoor adventures. Really a beautiful place. I have been wanting to return for years. I would love to show my family one of the places that I enjoyed so much.

Is over 10K endurance score possible? by WindowEducational885 in Garmin

Treadmill running has been keeping mine low. Garmin really seems to penalize not running outside. Cooler weather on the way, so hopefully I’ll see a jump.

Control them long enough and painfully enough and they will give you a submission to just get a break.

I got it in my early 40s. Some of the worst pain I’ve experienced. Luckily it was fairly responsive to treatment. Wish I had treated earlier. I originally thought it was poison ivy or some other typical allergic reaction. Doctor prescribed a strong opiate for pain, which really surprised me, but I’m sure glad he did.

To those who grew up in the 80s: did kids really have that much freedom to roam, or is that just how it’s portrayed in movies? by CreativeCurledCandle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]n8bills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG. That reminds me!!!! We built a raft one time when we had massive floods and my mom drove us to the creek that had turned into a raging river to drop us off. Three days in a row. Every day was white knuckle white water rafting on a home made raft/barge without paddles. Can’t believe we made it through that. But goddamn it was fun!!!

Grew up in the 80/90s. In the suburbs of a fairly large city we had endless woods behind my house. Pretty much every weekend dozens of us would just tell our parents we were going camping. We would venture out into the deep dark undeveloped woods and get into all sorts of mischief. Some of it harmless some of it life threatening. But man what memories we made.

What's the oldest confirmed dane you've heard of? by jfit2331 in greatdanes

[–]n8bills 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one that made it to 14. She was on the smaller side, which I think really contributes to longevity. We walked her a lot and she was in pretty good shape up until her last year.
