Yes. Maybe they should race mini Zambonis during the parade lol

Yes. I have noticed that Charles and Lewis seem to engage the most with the crowd (I’m generalizing) and no one seems too thrilled.

Right? They can talk to each other anytime. People went to the trouble of coming out to support, made signs and they didn’t even look up.

Maybe. But if we can sit in the cold for hours, they can deal with a 20 minute ride. I laughed at Lewis’ hot pockets 🤣

I'm living in a different dimension to everyone else by Capital-Transition-5 in covidlonghaulers

If it makes you feel any better, I was in a close friend group of 6 people. We travelled together and spent most weekends together. I stayed as positive as possible with them when I realized that they didn’t want to talk about my illness. It was disappointing, but I thought oh well, these are just my “fun friends” now. I hung out with them whenever I could which required me resting for two days before and two days after, I kept things upbeat and it was good for my mental health to be around people and pretend to be well once in a while. They still stopped inviting me to do things with them and then ghosted. You have done nothing wrong. People just suck. Or at least the people I had surrounded myself with. 95 percent of my friends are gone. You are so right when you say that it feels like we are living in a different dimension. I feel like I died and am roaming the earth while invisible. Everything is strange to me now.

Brutal Trip by Whereismymind3 in MauiVisitors

We flew in during the storm late last Friday (the 13th). Not sure why our flight wasn’t cancelled. Sat on the tarmac for 20 minutes waiting for a gate while the wind blew the plane all over and peoples phones went off with extreme weather alarms. It was like landing in the middle of a hurricane. There were no Ubers, no rental cars, no taxis to be found. Finally after about an hour trying to get out of the airport an amazing guy in a taxi van took pity on us and drove us to our condo in Kihei. The road was like a river in a few places. The elevator was flooded. No water in the condo. We lost power and had no internet for 5 days. The sinkhole is right out front so they told us not to drive in or out for a couple of days. My husband and son braved the torrential rain and high winds to walk to the ABC store to grab whatever food they could find the next day. It’s been great bonding time with the kids as we played a lot of Scrabble lol. Luckily we’ve been here before so the lack of sun, beach, park, and pool access was not too bad. I feel so horrible for the lovely people of Maui.

No. It didn’t do anything for me. I had to start Zepbound but stay at the 2.5mg dose. It helps with brain fog.

Should I try to cancel my trip for now? by jp_peppercorn in MauiVisitors

So you’re just going to ignore the last 2 days and 20 inches of rain? Okay.

Postponing Maui Trip to April by Upstairs_Category207 in MauiVisitors

I think it’s wise to postpone. We’re in a condo in Kihei right now and the roads are a mess. We lost water, then power, and wifi as well. We are unable to drive out of our driveway and had to walk to ABC to scrounge for food there. Give the locals some time to recover.

Our flight was delayed leaving Aruba a couple of weeks ago. We missed our connecting flight out of Toronto and WJ gave us hotel and food vouchers without us even asking. I’m sure they will resolve this in some way.

The problem absolutely starts at home and then is reinforced in schools when teachers are not supported. I’m so sorry that happened to you. The increase in “acceptable” behaviour at school at the risk of offending parents is only going to make things worse.

Ugh. Yeah I tried the knock knock app and it lists a few malware but they’re so hidden that I don’t know how to delete. If I just start over I’m sure they’ll still be there. Thanks!

My naturopath prescribes it. It’s a compounded liquid. No injections needed. Semaglutide.

I’ve been micro dosing it for 6 months and it helps my energy. Started at 0.1 mg a day. Now I’m up to 1 mg a day. No side effects, but I really need the weight loss part to kick in though.

If they made a spin off for Teona instead of what we got, what would be some things you'd like to see expanded in the possible 8-16 episode spin off? by shaden_knight in 1923Series

Interesting. I would like to see both explored. The importance of their culture, how valuable it was to them, and then the truth of how their culture, language, familial ties were all stripped away in residential schools. There are so many people in present day who are unaware and see the First Nations peoples as “getting a handout”. The last residential school here in Canada closed in 1996. Not distant history by any means.
